Questions & Answers
Screws are included as part of the installation
They won't work with a picatinny rail so you'll need picatinny rings
It should be fine with medium-height ring mounts, I have a high-height ring mount for mine and I'm using a vortex Diamondback 6*24*50mm, so medium height should be fine.
It is true. A place in Hell called Burnt Bronze is called Hells Canyon
Selected User Reviews For Talley Lightweight Alloy X-Bolt Hells Canyon Scope Rings
It was extremely accurate for sizing to follow the Talley guide online. It states that you do not need a torque wrench during installation, however, I highly recommend that you use one. In particular, bending aluminum is the last thing you want to do for some of the nicer scopes out there. Best of all, these rings are very well matched to the finish of the action and barrel. It was a relief to know that the colors were accurate when I saw them.
I have no problems wearing scope rings on 6-inch feet I have a Nikon black fx1000 that is a great match for a 300 Win Mag Browning X-Type With a few mm of clearance, the bolt pro long range is a good choice. The only issue I have with the screws that are provided (and others had a similar complaint) is the installation instructions. Even though I received the correct amount of screws, two of the ones used to close the rings over the scope are different in length, head size/shape, and thread pattern. I am still unable to mount my scope fully due to this issue. Even though it's not a huge deal, you'd think they would include the correct hardware with the $90 purchase. Update
I contacted Talley, and they are sending me the correct screws without question. I give this restaurant a 4 out of 5. Excellent customer service.
It took me some time to get these mounted. The moment I took them to have them professionally mounted, I had gone past my return window, so I had no choice but to keep The experience was the stuff of nightmares. They took the shop two hours to mount them so that I could bore sight my scope. My scope was still 10 feet off at 100 yards after they flipped them, switched from front to back, then flipped again, etc. I ran out of adjustments on my scope to get it to zero.
I got the XBolt style, but I had no problems with lacking screws or anything silly at all. There are no instructions but it's bias for the front and rear, so mounting it wasn't difficult and I didn't have to mess with separating rings and bases.
I love how well they match the rifle color. Sadly, mine came without the screws. However, I have a lot of other Talley rings to choose from. Since you're reading this, you already know Talley's quality, so you probably just want to make sure the colors match. The answer is yes.
It will be interesting to see how they hold up on durability, as they are lightweight. It's way too expensive for those!.
I love how well it fits my XS The bolt is 7mm in diameter. It looks great, is easy to use and is of great quality.
Exactly what I was looking for! The screws used to attach the bases to the rifle were not mentioned in the product description, so I was a bit worried about whether they would be included. However, they are.
