SMITH IS THE PLACE TO GO TO CHECK IT OUT. WESSON CALL THEM SD TYPE ONCE IN A WHILE, AND THEY ARE REMOVABLE. LOOK AT THE FRONT OF THE BARREL, THERE SHOULD BE A SMALL HOLE ABOVE THE BULLET BARREL, THERE SHOULD BE A SPRING IN THE SMALL HOLE THAT HOLDS THE SIGHT IN PLACE.

BUT. This was purchased for use on a S I ordered a W model 986, and then everything went crazy because that model became unobtainable for some reason. So, IF the gun arrives, I'll see how well the sight works.
This same sight is included as standard equipment on the W, and it reflects light much better. It's as if these are hiviz's rejected sights that have ended up for sale here. They're better than a black blade, but not quite as good as S's grade of high-visibility sights. W is there to help.
This is fantastic. I got the shorter sight to raise my point of aim without having to extend the rear sight screw too far. It also fits better in my holster than the factory sight. In the daylight, it is very easy to see. I'm very happy.
HiViz makes a good product, and I bought this for my SLR camera's front sight. W M& P 327 trr8 (P 327 trr8 (P 327 trr8 ( 357). The front sight is easier to see than the factory brass bead, even with my aging eyes.
After installing a DL Sport fixed rear sight, I needed this to get my point of aim back to zero. It performed so well on my primary 625 that I purchased a second one for my backup 625, 686, and 629.
Follow-up shots are a breeze with such high quality and visibility. Installing the nut cry is simple and requires only a little fitting.
It's a great place to stop in for S. W trr8.
