If I use a 40mm scope, how much room is there for the objective bell? Would like to use flip scope caps and wondering if it will be compatible?

A A nikon buckmasters 6x18 scope mounted on a Savage 110 x 40mm is mounted on this gun. 3/16 of an inch clearance is provided.

What is the fit of this ?

You can do so if you have an older 116 with a flat-back receiver

Four of them work well for me and I am very happy with them. I have experienced excellent fit and finish with all 4 types (Savage, Browning, Remington, and Winchester). There is no better finish than this. Another feature I appreciate about the one piece is that it eliminates another factor that may result in inaccurate results.

If you plan on buying one of these one-piece mounts, then you will need to know a bit about your rifle. You should look up the length of each action before you purchase a rifle if you are not certain. You need to be sure your rifle is on target every time you fire it, so spending the money is worth it. Despite the fact that it may have been bumped a little. Exactly what I was looking for for my 30th birthday A deer rifle with a serial number of 06 deer.

I would never use anything else for scope mounting

I have used many scope mounts, but the DNZ mounts are the best. Sturdy, well built, and mounted well to your specific action, these calibers are worth a look. It's nice to know they are machined rather than cast, for they have a smooth finish that looks good and don't need to be lapped or sanded to line everything 5 of these on my rifles now, and I will purchase additional ones as I purchase new guns. By the way, on my Stag 110 action with a sporter barrel, this low mount fits perfectly with a 40mm scope.

This mount is what I used for my Savage I harvested a doe during our annual doe week once the horns were sighted in and ready. In terms of both design and construction, this product stands out. I found Amazon's price to be more than ten dollars lower than my local gun store.
