I had a difficult time opening the lock and it took me about 15 minutes to do so. Therefore, the combination wasn't picking up due to the third button not being able to be clicked down. The person on the other end of the line who answered the phone was unable to help either, so she told me to return it and that she would send me drill-out instructions by email as my pistol was still inside. The email arrived just as I got the page open. The code was the original code that came with the app, so I'm pretty sure it was the original code. This was a big Since we wouldn't have been able to defend ourselves if I hadn't practiced opening it, I'm glad I did because we probably would not have been able to open it.
A quick update The customer service representatives at Line were extremely responsive to my issue and called me back within a few hours of receiving an email from me. With their assistance, I was able to get into the safe (this was not an easy process, but possible with the right equipment) and a new one was sent without waiting for the defective one to be returned. My old safe has been sent to them for analysis so that they can determine what went wrong with the lock. I am supposed to send them the old safe in a prepaid package. They definitely seem to be taking the failure seriously, and I'm glad to give them one more chance with the new safe since they have taken the failure seriously.
