If moisture wicking means that it will pull the oil from the gun, how then will it protect it from rusting?

insists that the only way to answer this question is that oil is not "moisture" if you drop water and oil on a surface, the oil will evaporate. As long as an oil stain does not get removed with a cleaner, it will stay there. There are still some remnants if you all but wipe it off. Metals that have been plated with oil tend to stay afloat UNTIL moisture gets between the metal and oil. Oil on metals separates over time. When my grandaddy was a kid, he used to wrap his guns in old oily rags. This is more appealing. claims to have had this gun sock for years and has never experienced any rust on it. Thank you. Owning a gun will not be complete without this! Is it worth investing in a firearm if it is not protected? Ours are kept in their socks in the safe if not in use (hand guns as well). Getting into the gun business from my brother is a good place to start.

There is no better way to store things long-term

My gunsocks work great for long-term storing my firearms, as I wipe the firearms down with heavy oil, place them in the gunsock, then create a Foodsaver bag for them, which keeps them completely sealed. It is a great method, and now I can lock up all of my firearms. Thanks a lot!.

The scope works very well with firearms with scopes

My allen brand from Walmart had a much smaller opening, but these are much better for scoped firearms since they are larger. They were around the same price, but these are much better.
