It won't hurt the cerakote if you put silicone on it
There is about 12" of length to the bag
You should be able to use it as long as your pistol does not have a scope or other bulky optic. Please accept my sincere thanks for your help.

This is the perfect size to fit a standard 5 inch 1911 pistol. If you don't know, a gun sock helps to protect your firearms from minor dings, scratches, and dents when you move them around in the In the event of a fire, it serves to protect your gun's finish as well. The inside of your safe will become like an oven, and metal and wood inside will be damaged by the smoke and moisture. A gun sock can help prevent or at least reduce this.
The foam fits both my revolvers nicely. Please do not store your pistols or revolvers in foam over a long period of time!.
This is a 4 star rating.
This product is small compared to other Ruger products, and its color and logo are great, but its size is absurd. I am not sure what type of pistol this is for given its length and narrowness.
Made from high-quality materials, it's a great product. For another buck, I decided to get the one that says Ruger on it in honor of my new GP100 instead of just a regular Allen gun sock.
There is a maximum pistol length of 14 inches stated. I don't think it does. The gun sock is nice, but the size is too.
The star is removed because the total length is just over 12". The cover barely covers my GP100, which is 4".
Having never been shot nearly as much, the MKII Target seems to be the ideal safe safe for it, no corrosion, no nicks or scratches. Perfect! I will.
