Upon opening the case, there are two pockets, one on either side, in which a pistol can be safely stored. This allows you to store one pistol in each pocket without worry about it rubbing against another pistol. It may be possible to store an additional pistol in the outside pocket of the case shown in the photo, but that will make it a little larger. On the other side, not shown, there are three pockets that will hold two 10 to 15 round magazines each, for a total of six It is my hope that this will assist you in your situation.

I actually put two pistols in the main pouch, ammo in the outer pouch, and magazines in the inner pouch. There is no better bag out there, with unbeatable quality.

As I already had a Boyt soft pistol case, I didn't need to buy another. My old magazine was 6"X9", but this might have been too small for my new Colt 1911-type of magazine I have one Boyt soft case/ range bag that is of full size, which I found to be a very rugged and well-made case. It is tough on the outside, and soft on the inside. My favorite part of the outside is the large windows. There is something special about the magazine pockets and pockets in general. My only wish would have been to know 13x7 is substantially larger than the one I had, even though it might not seem it at first glance. With its large capacity, it is easily capable of carrying 3 full-sized handguns plus magazines and ammunition. Despite my recent experience, I didn't think the slot inside that divides the two or three guns you carry was as good as it could be, which caused me to only give this a 4 out of 5. I don't see it as a "range kit case," I see it as a huge gun carrying case, and if that's what you want, spend the extra money, it's going to last a lifetime. This model comes with a carry handle that is good, and you can lock it. I would definitely get another Boyt, and I am most likely to do so.
