I have taken this on a few winter rides and it has worked The company does not provide much documentation, but it is quick to reply to questions. A cadence sensor from XOSS synced easily with my Polar heart rate monitor, but I was unable to sync it with my Polar heart rate monitor. In conclusion, this GPS has so far been a good purchase. I needed an inexpensive head unit that could be used with the Once I link my Strava account to the XOSS app on my phone, syncing my activities to Strava is automatic (once your account is linked). The only time I was able to connect and disconnect from the app and sync the device was once a few times while my GPS found As soon as the initial sync to GPS was completed, all three devices worked as intended. The automatic backlight is nice for riding in the dark early in the morning, and it doesn't seem to reduce battery life very You can easily recharge your USB drive with the USB charger. There seems to be not so much difference between running the back light on or off since I get about 20ish hours of riding per charge. Battery life might actually be much greater than that, but I always recharge the device when I get home as soon as I see one bar on the battery meter. It has been 800+ miles since the sensors were last changed without a battery. The distance won't be recorded indoors, even if there is a speed sensor on the wheel. If you ride a trainer or rollers inside, speed and cadence are recorded, but distance won't be recorded. As far as I have tested it, this device seemed to be precise (I haven't tested it against anything else yet) and fairly simple As I said, it is fairly confusing at first because you have to learn to pay attention to the tiny onscreen icons to make sure it is accurate. As well as using the heart rate monitor, I use a Bluetooth wheel RPM counter and a cadence counter with it. I am very pleased with how it performed once I crested the learning curve and I recommend it highly.
