Questions & Answers

Is there a top speed indicator on this?

Sorry, you inquired as to whether or not it displayed top speed. br>I'm not certain. It may allow you to program for top speed, but I haven't tried it so I can't say for sure. br>I have a few of these, and they are excellent value for money.

My display alternates between screens on a regular basis- What can I do to put a stop to it? I'd like to have a single, stable screen - How fast are you going, how long will it take you to get there, and how far do you have to travel?

I'd send it back to you. Unless you're attempting to cycle it, it shouldn't cycle!

Is it in miles per hour or kilometers per hour?

Yes, for display units, you can choose between MPH and metric.

Is it possible to install it on a road bicycle?

Yes! This is a very simple device that can be mounted on the stem or handlebar.

If you can find one that works, it's a fantastic computer
3/5

My Trek Emonda ALR is a one-of-a-kind design. For triathlon racing, you'll need a five-wheeled vehicle. I chose the Sigma Pure ATS-R when the bike was being built nearly two years ago at our local bike shop. It is necessary to install one wireless computer. Only one remained in stock at the shop. br>After the triathlon season ended, I got my bike and rode it for about 20 miles with the computer. I kept the bike inside for the winter, in a spare bedroom, and began riding it again in late spring of 2018. br>The Sigma appealed to me because of its ease of use and simplicity. Only ONE button allows you to access all of the features, including resetting for the next trip. So straightforward; so straightforward; so straightforward; so straightforward; so straightforward; so straightforward; so The display is large and bright, with a sleek design. This computer provides me with the following three data points: The distance traveled, the speed (mph), and the time elapsed are all displayed. PERFECT. I don't require any additional information. However, as the season progressed, the computer would occasionally freeze for a few seconds or up to 30 to 45 seconds on some rides. The data is ruined as a result of this. Because all three of those data points are critical for triathlon racing, this issue was becoming increasingly irritating. br>Let's get this season started - It's only been about 6 weeks since we started - and the situation became much worse. Both units required a new 2032 flat battery to begin with. Fixing the problem is simple. However, the cold - as a result of which "0" is produced. "0 mph" appears on the screen, and the time and distance remain frozen - The situation deteriorated to the point where only about half of the distance traveled was recorded on any given ride. br>At this point, the Sigma website and an internet search for the cause of the problem were ineffective, and the guys at the local bike shop - one of whom shares a computer with the other - I was stumped as well. br>As a result of my fondness for the Sigma Pure 1 ATS, I ordered a new one from Amazon two weeks ago. I'm going to return it right now. br>You guessed it, it's - The replacement model has the same problem as the original I bought from the bike shop when my bike was being built. br>This one, in many cases, will not even start working when I start biking; Instead, it functions in such a random and intermittent manner that it reminds me of a toddler crashing piano keys. I'd also like to mention that I had a lot of fun with the Sigma Pure ATS-II last summer. I liked 1 so much (before it went wonky) that I ordered another from Amazon and installed it on my daily bike, which is also a Trek road bike. The battery is still going strong and the computer reads out perfectly after being stored all winter. br>The result is two (apparently) bad computer modules vs. one that actually works According to my estimation, a 33% success rate is pretty poor. When it works, it's a great device, but I'm not interested in rolling the dice a fourth time. br>I now have a Bontrager (Trek's own brand) cycling computer that works similarly but requires more toggling to see the same information. The Sigma Pure ATS-II's design and data are far superior to those of the Sigma Pure ATS-II. 1 and am disappointed by German engineering's inability to ensure manufacturing consistency.

A basic computer that works well
4/5

Instructions/documentation are awful and frustrating. The instructions are written in a variety of languages and include a large number of pictograms, but they lack basic information that would be beneficial! For example, there are two o rings included to mount the display and the sensor, but the instructions don't specify which one goes with which! If you want to know how to turn the device off (it shuts down on its own), follow these instructions. Look at the instructions but don't look at them! I couldn't figure out why the wireless icon wouldn't turn on and assumed it was a problem with my unit - However, I discovered that it only works when the handlebar mount is locked in place - This isn't mentioned anywhere in the instructions. The procedure for determining tire size and measurement units should be straightforward - except for the fact that the instructions are difficult to comprehend. All of this is frustrating because simple and complete instructions for this device would have been easy to write. br>br>It would be nice to hook this up to an iPhone or computer to easily download the data - However, there is no mention of this in the instructions, and I haven't been able to find much useful information on the company website, other than the fact that you'll almost certainly need a docking station that costs almost as much as the computer, and that the direct to smartphone links won't work with an iPhone. br>br>In the end, as a basic device, it appears to be well-designed and functional. On the other hand, the documentation is appalling. The device receives four stars, while the documentation receives none.

After two months, I was unable to continue working
3/5

I liked this computer a lot (it was simple to use and read) until it broke down after about two months. I had a couple of rides at the time where I received intermittent readings, but then nothing. I adjusted the sensor to ensure proper positioning, replaced the sensor battery, and spun the wheel while holding the computer and mount right next to the sensor (in case my mount position was the issue) - nothing.

It was disappointing
3/5

For the first two months, it worked perfectly. The settings on the device are no longer retained. It doesn't matter how many times I go through the setup process. It returns to the setup screen in a matter of seconds. Contact Sigma; they have ceased operations in the United States and are unable to provide support, leaving me with a defective device (Sigma Pure 1 ATS Wireless). Don't buy from Sigma if you don't want to be disappointed. There is no assistance available.

This is an outstanding present
5/5

One of these was given to me as a birthday gift. In 2020, I rode over 6000 miles and found that the Sigma Pure 1 ATS Wireless Bike Computer performs admirably. It is simple to install and set up. Because I'm terrible at following instructions, I looked it up on YouTube. It's simple to put together, and I had it on my bike in no time. Since then, I've ordered two more to give as gifts for birthdays and Christmas. They've been well received by the recipients, and I'm pleased with them. Anyone interested in this product would benefit from it, and I would recommend it to them.

The text is simple to follow
4/5

It functions as a bike computer for the minimalist. It only has a few features, such as large letters, current speed, distance, and time on the road. With my previous unit, I was accustomed to much more, but it was unable to withstand a parking lot collision. Another Sigma was shaken loose by the same mounting bracket, and it was never found. Keep yourself safe, don't crash, and keep track of your miles with a pencil. Isn't this going to last a while?.

The computer is a nice size
4/5

It's a good computer, but I've only used it on a couple of rides. Even with polarized sunglasses on, it is simple to read. It has a nice appearance to it. It's a close match. I have the same computers as my wife, and we might be a quarter mile off at the end of a ride, which isn't bad for the price. I haven't taken it over 40 yet, but I guess I don't mind if it's a mile or two off. br>The only negative aspect was that it came with two defective batteries, which was inconvenient but not fatal. I think it's a great product for the price, but at the end of the day, I believe all budget bike computers are pretty much the same. This one has a nice design to it.
