The speedometer calculates the number of rotations per minute by multiplying the tire circumference by the number of rotations per minute. As a result, the sensor can be attached to the fork in any location. If you don't enter the correct circumference of your tire into the speedometer, your speedometer will be inaccurate. You can determine the circumference of a tire by rolling it one rotation on the ground (using the valve as a gauge) and then measuring the distance traveled. Despite the fact that the device's setup is difficult with only two buttons, I like it because of the numerous output data it provides.
Only when the wheel is turning does it calculate.
Selected User Reviews For JGRZF Bike Computer Bicycle Wireless Speedometer and Odometer Waterproof Backlight with Digital LCD Display for Outdoor Cycling and Fitness Multi Function (Wireless Computer)
I've used it three times since installing it on my bicycle, and I've had no issues. You can remove the protective film from the computer's surface before installing it, and it feels great. Excellent customer service, too!
2. The installation manual is simple to read if you refer to the instruction manual. Pay attention to the distance between the sensor and the magnet when installing this bike computer.
3. Full- feature, meet all basic needs of bicycle computers, easy to switch between KM / M, easy to set data, such as time distance temperature, like its data memory function, replace the battery will not lose data, distance can also be reset before use, and solar energy can also provide charging, is very easy to use.
4. I like the backlight mode because it allows me to read even in the evening. To keep the backlight mode, press and hold the left and right buttons at the same time; it will always display the backlight. It is very easy to use, and the waterproof function is excellent, so I believe it will work well in any situation. br>I'm overjoyed that I came across this bicycle computer; it's a great buy!.
The display is clear, but I had to have it installed and programmed by a computer geek friend of my son's. Normally, I'm pretty good at this, but I need specific instructions. These directions were a disaster. There was no itemization of what should be included, no description of parts or diagram of what goes where, no troubleshooting, and no instructions about converting metric to miles, etc. If he hadn't stopped by, I would have had to pay at least another $25 and take it to a bike shop just to get it running.
Please get in touch with me about the warranty. This unit has now been in my possession for two months. For the first five weeks, it worked perfectly. The head unit then began to fail to sync with the fork mount. I was in charge of troubleshooting - including replacing all batteries as well as uninstalling and reinstalling everything. It will work for a few miles before abruptly ceasing to work for no apparent reason. The following time, it will work for a few miles and then stop. Then there are times when it works perfectly, and other times when I can't get it to start at all. br>br>NEW ADDITIONAL INFORMATION - The seller refunded my purchase price, was quick to respond, and stood behind their warranty - Not everything is bad.
It appears that this is correct. Although it took a few tries to get the right number, the distance was accurate in the end. br>I'm out on the trails, and in my truck, I measured a 1 mile and a 2 mile distance along the road. br>The bike tire had a 26 X 1 number on it. As a result, I chose 2055 as my year of birth. It was . In a mile, I was 090 over. br>So I measured the tire according to the instructions and got 25. Instead of 26, you'll get 5 instead. As a result, I typed in 2024 into my computer. Still . 045 over. br>After that, I experimented on the trail in the marked section, just as I had done in my truck. I went from 2000 to 1900 to 1800, and it seemed like 1800 was the magic number. According to my measurements, it was exactly one mile. br>It wasn't all that difficult; it only took a few tries for me to get it right. br>I haven't yet tried any of the other options. Soon. br>I wanted to see how far I could travel in a single day. Naturally, this is true. The trails are marked nearly every 1/4 mile, which I know from experience is not always accurate in city parks. Trails may be modified at the last minute, but no new markers will be placed. br>Inaccuracy occurs as a result of the use of old, outdated markers. So now I can go for a ride and see if the trail markers are correct. br>Overall, it's a good value for money device.
It's possible that the computer itself is in good working order. It's been 19 days since I got mine, and it appears to be accurate. The mount bracket has proven to be a problem for me. The mount bracket is made of a very thin plastic. It was 28 degrees F when I used it for the first time. Before I could move a single step, I was cut off. Because of the cold, I assumed it was brittle. After epoxiing the bracket to the mount, the entire side of the bracket snapped off. br>I can't risk having this fall off when I hit one of our famous New Jersey potholes (assuming I can get it mounted again). br>I'll have to look for a different computer that can handle the workload. br>On an indoor bike trainer, this could work well.
The setup is simple, but the instructions are horrendous. Trying to navigate the complicated program menu and field settings with only two buttons is even worse. One minor blunder will render the device unusable, necessitating a factory reset. All of the data that has been accumulated will be lost. It's too bad they can't come up with a simple product that only has speed and distance functions. Calorie burn, average speed, and the other ten functions aren't particularly important to me. br>However, once properly set up, the unit is extremely accurate.
Great bicycle speedometer, you can switch various functions, you can adjust the function by pressing the lower left and lower right,Sometimes you need to pay attention to the distance of the sensor during installation,It is easy to set in 10 minutes, it looks very accurate and solar energy can also be The rider charges, regardless of the weather, it can be used in the rain, I am very happy every time, I see that they are working.
Installing it was a breeze. I put it behind the fork instead of in front of it by accident, but the package included three extra zip ties, which came in handy. It took a few tries to figure out what the left and right buttons did during programming. When you confirm each digit input, the digit selection moves from right to left, not left to right. Even in direct sunlight, the display was crystal clear. The distance log on the odometer was fairly accurate. A PDF installation guide was also included in the package from the seller. For a beginner cyclist like myself, I believe it is a good value. A Wahoo is not something I'm prepared for. yet.
