Questions & Answers

Can I use this with a quick release kit on my Forerunner 920 XT?

There's no need to worry about the 'no' answers, it's going to work fine. I have a fenix 3 with the quick release kit and it works perfectly.

Is it compatible with the electric screw?

Wahoo seems to use the same twist mount on all of their devices, so I'd presume that the Bolt would fit in well. Although the mount won't be as sleek and aero as the original, it will still look exceptionally cool. Despite this, I can't say for certain because I have only ever used it with my standard education.

Is there a specific type of light that you recommend for ?

In order to secure the light, there are two rubber band clamps on the universal light bracket below the computer mount. Light thus should take the shape of a cylindrical cylinder. Taking the Cateye Volt300 as an example, it would fit well.

Selected User Reviews For Bar Fly 4 Max Bicycle Accessory Mount, Black, for Large Computers - Garmin, Wahoo, Polar, Bryton, Cateye, Mio, Joule

This mount is decent, but it has a few drawbacks that make it unusable
3/5

While it works perfect for what it's supposed to be, the price feels like it should be lower and the product itself is no premium. In fact, it has the ability to hold a computer. With the bike computer on top and the camera on bottom I can turn the bike into my own personal action camera mount. There was a bazillion different adapters in the package for different products. The mounting bracket for the Wahoo is not very secure, according to my experience. tried using it on my mountain bike for a 40 mile singletrack race, and it kept turning slightly because it didn't click into place just like an OEM mount would. Action camera mount works well, but when not mounted, the plastic pieces bend when you get the bolt tight enough that it won't come loose while riding. I also had difficulty There were a few little things that I had to adjust, but that's not something that needs a lot of adjusting. There were a few bolts that needed to go in the right place on the right side, and I had to attach the pieces in the correct order without anything falling apart. As soon as the project was complete, I felt like I had accomplished something. The mount doesn't seem to be a bad purchase, but it may need a bit more polish in order to be as good as competitors'.

The design is functional, strong, and I'd like to upgrade my Bar Fly 2 that is four years old to this unit
5/5

The following improvements have been made You now have a hinge on the part that wraps around your handlebar, which is part of The 0 didn't have a You could easily damage the wall if you do not take care when installing it.
Here are the offsets When the stem faceplates are wider, this helps to center the display. * The ability to attach accessories to the unit My favorite feature is being able to attach a light to the device. A cutting tool is used to take out It looks very elegant to mount the light centered to the bike. Whenever I am using the Internet, I use the hotspot The Philips Saferide headlight has been modified. I like this light very much, it is super bright with an even beam This is a long throw, but it looks bulky and unsightly on the handlebars. For mounting this to the Bar Fly's light holder, I had to do a bit of DIY. There are a couple of things I don't like *The Garmin mount now requires a clockwise twist to mount and a counter clockwise twist to remove. It did not matter which way the item was mounted or removed. A little movement may be visible in the computer while you press The 1 is not as firm as the 2 because it doesn't seem to move enough for an accidental removal.

I am disappointed
3/5

The "jello effect" on my GoPro videos is caused by this. The mount works really well as a mount for my larger Garmin, and I bought one for each bike. With a GoPro mounted on it, the problem arises. In addition to being a little longer than the original and not made from metal, it is made from some sort of synthetic material, so it flexes’. Even on relatively smooth roads, this causes the camera to shake and vibrate while riding. The image is made worse by rough roads. During this flexing, the video picture shakes similar to the "jello effect" that is seen when cheap drones are not equipped with Watchable but unwatchable! While I wish I loved this pack of two mounts because it makes assembling a clean assembly easier, I'll be returning to my two original mounts for smooth video playback. The packaging was thrown away, so I won't be able to return it.

I see this as a great solution for putting a Wahoo on top and a GoPro or Cycliq below
5/5

needed to speak to customer support to figure out how to do this, because the directions provided were less clear about how to do this There are steps. Follow the photo and this text for an easy way to do it. The following are the orders in which the operations will take place 1 *br Mount the mount in the up position With the upside down, place the nuts L-shaped The R holes for the 3.
Then install the nuts in the GoPro base*4. Place the GoPro base on top of the nuts. Install long screws in up-facing holes after holding together, turning over, and then installing Put GoPro down holes and tighten it. Then screw in the short screws for the Wahoo head. I like how the support provided by the part I labeled A adds additional value. The unit has a weak point which stands out from the others I have tried, and I anticipate many many miles of solid performance with it. You did a great job!.

You'll love this mount if you're a bike enthusiast! In addition to my new Wahoo Elemnt and Go Pro, I was in need of a single heavy duty mount
5/5

I found that the stock Wahoo mount was flimsy and not square, and I had no choice as to how to mount my camera on it. This Bar Fly mount provided a reasonable solution for my needs at a relatively reasonable price. The adapter provided made it easy to attach it to my road bike handlebar. In addition to being rock solid on the bar, both devices are In terms of negative comments, I would only suggest identifying which adapter to use from the many in the packaging. The bayonet mount was not compatible with the bar (they all looked similar) so I learned not to test the fit after I already matched it. A bayonet mount will fit the Elemnt better than the factory mount once the Out Front mount is attached to the handle bar. It is also necessary to note that the Out Front camera mount extends the camera position out beyond the brake and shift cables, a problem I encountered with the Quadlock out front camera mount.

I don't think it will last very The following is the number of likes 0. Likes - It does most of the setup in one area* I don't like the screw holders because they are poorly designed. where the screws go fall out of their places if not held in place by a screw. I find that annoying, but what I find even more annoying is having to put them back in again. In most cases, they go the wrong way and take 3 I had to go through four attempts to get them back in. Screw holders aren't the only thing on this surface. A total of four are present You can use up to 5 mount combinations depending on your selection. In addition to the 45 minutes it took me just to setup the wahoo + GoPro mount, I had to spend 15 minutes securing it to the bike. My time mainly was spent looking for the screw holders that fell, and then inserting them back into the screws. It is extremely difficult and takes a lot of time. A RACE occurs when the entire wahoo & dolphin team is active There was a problem with the GoPro holder coming loose. I can't stand it! I was not allowed to stop to fix it and rejoin the field with a lap down since this is clearly not a mechanical! Those are my thoughts on this product. After that event, I re-thought about it. I secured it with a 1" nut Following instructions, it should be 2NM. Check out the pictures when I go on my next ride. There were loose parts that were flying around and dangling. Unfortunately, I did not get an accurate reading from Wahoo. As an alternative, I intend to return this and look for a suitable replacement.
