I found it to be way too expensive
3/5

It is a vicious seller who tries to screw the customer for profit at any cost. The corporation owes me a program which does work, but they will not accept return.

If you need the features, this is an excellent utility
4/5

Please be aware of the following It is not my strong suit to use a computer. Therefore, I have written this review from the perspective of someone who harbors a deep nostalgia for a long-gone era A century has passed since DOS and dual floppy drives were commonplace. In my review, I will concentrate on the ease of installation and use rather than the nitty-gritty of the features The fine print of computing specifications. I would like to start by saying

First I had no problems installing the software. When you place the disk in the drive, everything runs automatically. On a relatively new computer that runs Windows 7, I ran Windows 7. It opens a little window at the beginning of the process that asks whether to track things and send information back somewhere. It claims to do so in order to make the software more efficient or some such thing. There are probably some people who would take offence at this, but you can just say no to that request.

Consider this I was quite surprised at the power of this program. Besides being able to create archives of many types, it also allows you to attach zip files to emails easily. Other features I did not understand fully and probably will not use were there as well. Finally, I would like to say Although the user interface was intuitive, I did not find it quite what I hoped for. It was fairly easy to create zip files and put stuff in them, but it required a bit of trial and error exploring, and the tutorials weren't as helpful as I would've hoped. Overall, I found this to be true Despite the user guide, EnZip was still harder to use than the (free) zip utility I had been using before that's why I In addition to doing those things, WinZip also has a whole host of other features EnZip does not, so if you're in a position to manipulate and email large or multiple files to others, I would strongly recommend WinZip. Rather than using EnZip on a regular basis, I would recommend you use it whenever you need to create or open a zip file.

Helpful, especially in a time of need
4/5

This can be difficult if you do it a lot. There has been a longtime version of this product I have had it on earlier versions of computers and earlier versions of In the time since we moved from floppy disks to multi-speed computers, we may not be as acutely aware of the need for file compression Despite the availability of terabyte hard drives, some users may still want to compress files in order to save storage space This is how it is written There is only one hard drive in the unit) or to compress other files for use on the Internet Sending a letter. It is open-source and can be downloaded from the Internet. There is no question that 5 meets this I was not able to complete the installation and setup on my own The system is powered by Windows XP, a two-year-old operating system Additionally, I did not notice any problems with existing software or files. As a matter of fact, the program opens itself and files rather easily if you locate them. You can zip files from a Windows Explorer (file manager) list, and WinZip seems to be able to handle compressed files that Windows Explorer would have trouble handling. The WinZip interface includes an "Open With" option as well. As an example, when you decompress a picture file, it is possible to choose a graphics program, which is handy if you only want to view something, rather than just wait for the program I'm not sure what needs to be changed in the interface as it is straightforward and intuitive enough, and allows you to unzip, zip, backup, encrypt, annotate, and email. Emailing zipped files in the same window is a good idea. Note (I must add one mediocre WinZip 14 users should upgrade to the latest version. You will find buttons in the Standard version for features such as "burn CD" and "FTP upload", which you'll find out are only available in the Pro version, conveniently accessible on the same page 7) Overall, this is a capable program if you need to zip or unzip a lot of files.

For some users, this is a great utility
4/5

The new WinZip 14 version adds over 40 additional compression and file packaging options to the Windows Compression & Packaging tool already included with the Thus, the average person will probably not need this software, but it does offer certain features that certain users may find extremely useful and interesting. It is easy to use and has dual interfaces - it is simple to use but offers dual security - it is safe to use It comes in two versions, one for advanced users and the other for novices, creating a series of steps that guide them through common tasks. Using this program is also easy thanks to its drag and drop capability. There are more than a dozen archive formats that WinZip 14 can open, not just ZIP. If you have created an archive on another platform, then this could be extremely useful A good example would be Linux or Unix. Another helpful feature of WinZip 14 is its ability to split files The utility splits zip archives into multiple files, which can be helpful when you want to send large files The strongest feature of the program is the ability to encrypt data. The encryption level AES can be changed between two levels Using this product assures a much higher level of security than with other available products. If you are planning on sending highly sensitive data over email or other non-secure means, this product is a must-have. This tool should be considered if you are looking for secure means. WinZip 14 also simplifies zip tasks and allows you to add and delete files from existing archives, in addition to streamlining the process of emailing archives. Furthermore, you can preview an archive's contents in the Windows 7 preview pane, another useful feature. This feature is not essential, but it provides a certain degree of convenience to the average user.
