A friend of mine recommended this product to me, and I bought it. In the setup wizard, it repeatedly showed me how to set up my scanner and supposedly let me save the setup after my test was successful, but when I tried to use the scanner, it didn't recognize it even though it had said that it worked. I updated an ini file, then sent the requested information in, but tech support did not reply back after a day or two. I then spent a fair amount of time editing the ini file, then sending the requested files in, but they did not reply. After a little more than a week, I got my refund for the software and gave up. I also lost my Paperport 12. Omnipage trashed my system. In addition to the first installation, I had to uninstall and reinstall this as well. The newly activated Paperport will ask me to do so almost every time I start it. However, I haven't been able to activate it automatically. The manual reactivation used to work but now does not. Omnipage 15 standard is what I've been using, and I find that it does its job very well for me, so I'll stick with that. As far as their scanner setup portion of their software is concerned, Omnipage 18 has some serious bugs left to fix.
