Selected User Reviews For Roxio Easy Media Creator 8.0 [Old Version]

Yes, it's true: Windows 2000 is still alive and well
5/5

Windows 2000 is still popular among some users. EMC8 is an acronym that stands for "Electronic Firefox assists in keeping it current. br>br>Easy Media Creator 8 is a program that allows you to convert your Windows 2000 computer into a portable media player. The XP systems have the ability to edit high-definition video. Details on VideoWave 8. br>br>

- For all three file types, output resolutions range from 4:3 to 8:1 in both aspect ratios. 3 and 16: From small to HD 1280 x 720p and 1920 x 1080p, there are nine options. MPEG- 1080i is part of number two.

. AVC is not fully compatible with Easy Media Creator 8. mp4 and 3GPP are the two most common file formats. Easy Media Creator 9 is available, but I found it to be far too difficult to use on Windows 2000, so I decided to stick with Easy Media Creator 8. There are definitely glitches in this version of Roxio software, as there are in many other versions of Roxio software. There are contradictions. br>br>If you're thinking about trying a Roxio product, here are three tips:br>br>- To reduce your financial risk, buy the cheapest used copy you can find.
- Before you install Roxio software, learn how to make a backup of your computer.
- Take any product review from Roxio, including this one, with a grain of salt. br>br>Each person's computer system is unique in terms of hardware. setting up the software Roxio products are excellent for some set-ups. Others, on the other hand, do not. It is impossible to 100% predict what kind of experience each of us will have. If people back up their computers, they should then be ok in case of catastrophic failure. Easy Media Creator 8 is a fantastic program for me.

I used Roxio 5 and Roxio 7 in the Roxio Easy Media Creator 8 Suite
3/5

I gave it a five-star rating because I enjoyed it. The only reason I upgraded was to get the 16:9 aspect ratio. There are nine different options for burning DVDs. All of the changes in how to access programs bothered me a lot - 7. was one of my favorites. Customizing the appearance of dvd menus, for example, is also a little more difficult for me. I like PhotoSuite, and once I figured out how to use some of the newer applications, I was pretty happy with it. I do, however, continue to use 7. 5 to transcode because it is so much easier and straightforward; however, it takes up a lot of disc space and, despite having 1 GB of RAM, I have to reboot between transcoding and burning. Overall, I am pleased. br>Additional information - I'm becoming increasingly dissatisfied with this as I use it more frequently. Every time I use Photosuite to edit more than ten photos, it crashes. It's extremely slow and unresponsive, and I'm having issues with audio editing and burning as well. To burn CDs and convert audio, I had to buy two additional programs. It's not worth the trouble - the previous version should be preserved If it were possible, I'd go back to number five.

Typical "Suite" issues: Software "Suite" programs typically include some excellent integrated programs, some "Lite" editions of excellent programs, and some subpar, seemingly thrown-in programs to round out a package or suite offering
3/5

Roxio Easy Media 8 is a program that allows you to create multimedia files with ease This statement can be illustrated by the number zero. With the photo software, I've had excellent results. Because the video software frequently crashes, I purchased Pinnacle Studio 9 for this purpose. The audio programs are simple, but they get the job done. Roxio should be embarrassed by the results of the Sound Editor program. The disc tools themselves are excellent. In conclusion, this program will give you a good return on your investment because it has so many different applications. In the end, if you frequently use software for specific functions, we'd all be better off researching and purchasing dedicated software for that purpose. Roxio's tech support is slow to respond and frequently incorrect. They tend to focus on persuading you to purchase one of their other products to accomplish what this suite is supposed to accomplish.

EMC 8 is the subject of a fair assessment
3/5

Roxio EMC 8 was purchased from Amazon. I'm (trying) to use it to make a DVD disk from digital high-definition tapes. Use the drag disk feature as well. br>br>The software gives the impression of having been designed by Dilbert's pointy hair boss. It has a lot of features, such as video/audio editing and burning, label creation, and so on, but unfortunately, many of the modules are buggy. A few keystrokes incorrectly typed causes the system to lock up, sometimes completely, necessitating a hard reboot. It's also so slow, possibly due to the fact that it's written in Java, that it makes you think you're getting a response from another galaxy rather than your own computer. There aren't many better alternatives. br>br> If you're serious about buying this product, do yourself a favor and order it from Roxio's website, where you'll get a 30-day money-back guarantee. and there's a good chance you'll want to know about it.

BEWARE! Changes the date on which a file was last modified! Hundreds of jpg files on my hard drive had some information added to them, and the file modification dates had been changed without my knowledge
3/5

Viruses are the term I use to describe programs like this. Because the web editor assumed I had replaced all of my photos, I had to reload a 250 MB website. Customer support at Roxio is non-existent. After two days, the response was positive. To get rid of all traces of this dreadful program, I had to do a system restore. For all of the pain it has caused me, it does not deserve even one star. br>br>Recent changes - After 9 days, Customer Service has yet to respond.

Plextor PX-Burning at a Slow Pace 760 This purchase was a major letdown, particularly in terms of DVD burning
3/5

It's been a nightmare to burn data DVDs! On 16X media, it frequently bursts at less than 4x. Yes, my drives are configured in DMA mode rather than Pio mode. Yes, I've already installed the latest Plextor Bios as well as EMC8 updates. Yes, I contacted Plextor for assistance and attempted to contact Roxio for assistance. br>br>However, I was unable to complete the process of contacting Roxio for assistance. I've tried this process several times and still haven't received any help, despite the fact that I've registered the software with Roxio. Regardless of the media used, the extremely slow burning occurs. On Nero 6, these same discs frequently burn at the rated speed without issue. Even with Nero, the Plextor drive appears to have random slow burns, though not as slow as Roxio 8. br>br>On my Ben Q DW1655, Nero 6 burns consistently at the rated speed, so the Plextor has been a disappointment as well. br>br>The video capture module lacks a pause button and appears to have fewer features than Nero 6. M. br>br> M. br>br> M. br>br> M. Calcagno.
