As one of the many reviewers who gave this one star, I was unable to install the software. As a result of installation, my computer failed to recognize any optical drive. My only option to bring them back was to restore them from a point in time. In spite of these problems, Roxio would not load and other software would cease working properly (to the point that I could not back things up to optical drives). I eventually had to do a fresh install of Windows I don't know why this didn't work for me, since these are well known problems with "fixes and workarounds" on Roxio's website. Unfortunately, I was unable to use the fix. My experience with Roxio and, since software can't be returned, with Amazon has been very disappointing.

In the past I had an earlier version of Easy CD Creator that worked fine. This version must be about the lowest quality I've purchased in the past. Burning a CD hangs, does not use the settings I specify, does not save the right settings after saving a project, loses track of a file in the middle of burning a CD, tells me it is writing to a CD-R, etc. When I don't even have a disk in the drive, the ROM runs extremely slow, extra windows pop up, etc. The program notifies you if your file names are too long, but it does not specify It has a very limited number of settings. The fonts are inconsistent as well, which suggests that no quality control group has even taken the time to review Roxio finds this embarrassing, and I find it to be a big disappointment.
