AVOID! On paper, the feature set looks great, but in practice, it's lacking. When I connected to the internet for a lesson, I would finish it and move on to the next. I'd lose credit for the lessons I'd just finished the next day, and I'd have to retake them. do them. br>The ability to download a set of lessons and work on them when the internet was unavailable was the most important feature in RS for me. The feature worked for the first few months after I purchased it, but after an update, it stopped working. I've been working on RS for about a year and a half. a dozen times only to be told that it will be fixed in a future release and that I will know when it does when it works again. There is no set time limit. Nothing has happened after three months. I wish I could get a refund and use the money to buy another language program; Duolingo is similar (since offline mode isn't available in RS) and is available for free. Save yourself the trouble and make a better decision.

A large French-language map is included in the French bonus pack. A pocket-sized English dictionary, a pocket-sized French grammar book, and unlimited access to the Rosetta Stone online program are all included. There is no need for a dictionary because there are several available online. versions on the command line The grammar book was not my cup of tea. It seemed to me that the verb tenses were poorly explained. But, since you bought it for the online program, let's get started. Let me start by saying that I had four years of high school French and one year of college French many, many years ago. So I wasn't completely new to the game. Basic vocabulary and grammar were familiar to me. The Rosetta Stone program is a natural way to learn a language. That is to say, you will not hear any English and no explanations of verb conjugations, tenses, or other grammatical concepts will be given. Pictures, as well as hearing and seeing spoken and written French, are used to teach you. There are several parts to each core lesson. The first instructs students on the fundamentals of language - You will then be asked questions about nouns, verbs, adjectives, and so on, and you must select the image that best answers the questions. In the speaking lesson, you will be shown a picture and the French text, and you will be required to recite the words. The vocal recognition technology will either give you a red light and reject your pronunciation as incorrect, a green light if it likes your pronunciation, or a yellow light if your pronunciation needs a little work but it will still give you a check and mark your answer as correct; other times, you will be asked a question in French and will need to respond in French on your own without any written text. These are, in my opinion, in short supply. While pronouncing French from a printed sentence is simple for me, thinking in French and providing a correct grammatical response is far more difficult, and this is what speaking French is all about. The following are, in my opinion, some of the program's drawbacks: Using only pictures to teach many grammatical concepts is difficult. How can a picture tell the difference between showing 'us' and showing 'them?' As a result, learning verb conjugations is much more difficult than if the rules are simply shown. I'm having a lot of fun with the program and plan to keep it up. Yes, as you progress through the lessons, they become more difficult. But, in the end, I'm not sure I'd be able to learn French from this program alone if I didn't know any French.

This language course makes learning the language a breeze. After a few weeks, I'm able to have a conversation in French with native French speakers, and they all understand what I'm saying. Excellent product at an excellent price!!.

Rosetta Stone is a great way for me to learn French! I've taken in-person classes before, but I didn't pick up as much information as quickly as this. I'm not naturally gifted when it comes to learning languages, so I'm blown away. I'm currently halfway through my second six-week program and intend to continue. Perhaps by the time the Canadian border opens, I'll have learned enough French to avoid asking everyone if they speak English.

Rosetta Stone will only provide you with a free trial period of 12 months after which you will have to pay a subscription fee. They no longer offer downloads due to a change in their process, and I am unable to return the item and receive a refund.
