Visio 2007 worked just fine with office 2007. I upgraded to office 2016 and Windows 10 from office 2007 and visio 2007. Having launched Visio 2007 and opened a drawing with no problem, I am happy with the results.

This is an excellent product. It is very user-friendly. I prepared process maps for trillions of dollars worth of business An example would be from a local church to a dollar company using It is a tool I've used for many.
When I tried to install Visio on my computer with an Operating System of Windows 8, it would not load. The version I want must still work on Windows 8, but it must be compatible with Visio. The solution I received was no resolution after several hours on hold with different Microsoft divisions, including Office and MS Support Line. Each division told me to contact another, which led me to contact the other, and I was never able to resolve the problem.
I haven't had a problem with it. It was easy to install, and I have not experienced any issues with loading/editing older.
The upgrade was forced on me since Visio is not my main program and I had to maintain compatibility with customers and other tools. There is no improvement to the GUI, but more stencils have been added.
I would have to say that Visio is a great program. I have owned several versions of the software since the very first one before Microsoft acquired it. This latest version of Visio features a new interface, which can be used to create organization charts, floor plans, diagrams, strip maps, etc. This version is designed to be compatible with Vista, as well as the newest office products. There is one thing I noticed about this version of Visio that it does not have the Office Therefore, it feels as if it is behind one version. As a user of Visio, I would like Microsoft to include Visio as a permanent part of the Office There should also be a single version of the software. We don't understand why they have the PRO edition if it merely includes a few extra templates (that we don't need or value). Although I own both versions of Visio, I find it very frustrating that if you want to draw a quick electrical diagram, you have to buy the professional version.
The software ship rather quickly, especially in the professional edition, which includes very specific type templates such as electrical, electronics, architecture, etc. During the upgrade process I encountered a minor issue where the upgrade wouldn't install since I owned an older version. In the end, I went to the Microsoft web help page. It turned out that I had to find out why it would not install and then I was able to fix it. Trying to upgrade from an older CD ROM version of Visio, the software couldn't locate the dll file needed for the upgrade to work. During the installation process, I was prompted with an The Microsoft help page directed me to an alternate directory on the CD ROM that I had to point the validation tool at. There may be a reason why Microsoft did not include it in.
