My
5/5

God. When Dragon NaturallySpeaking first came out in 1997, I was one of the first people to use it. I was using the microphone that came with the program at the time, and the results were far less than I had hoped for. I hadn't looked into the evolution of speech recognition software in over 20 years. That has recently changed. br>br> I decided to try Dragon NaturallySpeaking again after reading several reviews, blog posts, and other people's experiences with it. One of the first things I did was purchase a four-dollar Kindle book written by an Englishman who had extensive experience with speech recognition software and had his own opinions on what worked and what didn't: Scott Baker, br>br>Baker, br>Baker, br>Baker, br>Baker Training Your Dragon: A Writer's Guide: Baker emphasizes the importance of having a good microphone when using speech recognition software in his book, Using Speech Recognition Software to Dictate Your Book and Supercharge Your Writing Workflow (Dictation Mastery for PC and Mac). br>br>One of the things that Baker stresses when using speech recognition software is the importance of having a good microphone. Baker gives good recommendations about what microphones work well with the program, and I followed his advice and bought a noise canceling, mono headset from Plantronics that plugged into my computer's USB port. br>br>Baker also points out that many of Nuance's suggestions are counterproductive, and he very sensibly recomm Featured word processing programs, such as Microsoft Word, free up more RAM to be used specifically for speech recognition. br>br>Another good suggestion is for the user to read his own work rather than that of others in order to help the algorithm better understand not only how he speaks, but also how he writes. br>br>Nuance also appears to have a reputation for releasing buggy software and allowing customers to act as beta testers. I saw a lot of one-star reviews for the most recent version of Dragon NaturallySpeaking, so I decided to buy an older version, release 13, for a cheap price to see what speech recognition software had evolved into. br>br>After receiving the DVD and headset, I disabled my antivirus software, loaded the program, adjusted the sound levels on the headset, and began working with it. br>br>I've only had a few hours with this program, and all I can say is that I'm completely blown away. I wrote this entire review using the software, did a word count, checked for errors, pulled out my calculator, and found that the program is over 99% accuracy in my case. In 566 words, there are FOUR errors! br>br>This level of performance is nothing short of incredible, especially considering the fact that I spent less than $100 on this software and hardware. br>br>One caveat to be aware of is that the program consumes a significant amount of computer processing power. My computer has 30 GB of RAM and is powered by an Intel i7 processor. If you have a computer that is significantly less powerful, you may not be able to achieve the same level of success. Overall, I can't say enough good things about this program and Baker's book. A solid five out of five!.

This is an excellent product for voice recognition! I'd been considering this software for a while, so when a $50 promotional offer came along, I jumped at the chance
5/5

If you buy it with H, it'll cost you $0. 00. I decided to move forward with R Block tax software. br>br>I tried on several headsets and returned both before settling on a microphone. (I went with the ZAFFIRO mic, which costs $17. ) It's only 99 cents, and I strongly advise you to buy it. )br>br>After only a few weeks of using the software, which was simple to set up and has worked nearly flawlessly with only a few tweaks, There were only a few minor changes that needed to be made. It also makes it simple to leave reviews like this one. br>br>With the DNR product, you will not be disappointed.

For clean recordings, it works perfectly

I should have done more research to realize that the good price was due to the fact that support would be ending on January 1, 2019. It was my error, not the seller's.

Exceeded my expectations in every way
5/5

I'm very happy. I was able to use the program after a brief tutorial because it is fairly intuitive. I read a paragraph from a book after creating my voice profile, and the program accurately transcribed what I said. It takes some time to get used to using voice commands, and it also takes some time to get used to not saying commands while speaking. It's crucial to pick the right microphone for the job. I purchased the Fifine Clip-On USB Lavalier Lapel Microphone. Cardioid Condenser Computer Mic for PC and Mac - Plug and Play USB Microphone with Sound Card (K053), and it works fine as long as the microphone sensitivity is set properly. I was on the verge of purchasing the $150 version, but I'm glad I didn't because this one is fantastic.

It quickly picks up on your tone and standard speech
5/5

It is compatible with Windows 10. This CD-R comes straight from the boca. The ROM software product was already at 85% accuracy at the beginning of the process. It's simple to learn how to use basic speech to text software. I am extremely pleased with how well it functions. Simply put, the free "Windows Speech Recognition" feature that comes standard with Windows 10 is a shoddy, ineffective imitation of the capability easily provided by Dragon. Despite spending a lot of time with Windows Speech Recognition, accuracy was never better than 50 percent. 70%. There is far too much that needs to be corrected. Dragon is available for purchase. I finally did, and version 13 is fantastic.

Works
4/5

It was purchased as a present for my younger brother. The way you speak has a huge impact. You are not prepared for all of the commands during the startup process. To get started, print out a basic list to help you find what you're looking for. It doesn't recognize people's names in the sender box or when entering a subject in an email for some reason, but everything else works fine.

It was simple to train my Dragon using this app
5/5

This program installed without a hitch and started working right away. It easily outperforms Microsoft's speech recognition. When new or complicated words are used, it picks up dictation quickly and accurately, and it's simple to train.

For dictation, it's ideal
5/5

This application performs admirably. It's ready to use right away and recognizes the majority of what I say without any training. Now that I've added a cheap microphone, I can dictate anything I want. It will also respond to a variety of commands, including those for opening various windows programs. It's absolutely fantastic.
