Does the software work with Microsoft Office despite the lack of backward compatibility? That's correct

However, there are major Microsoft Office compatibility issues that Nuance won't tell you about until after you've paid $300. In a nutshell, you will not be able to use Dragon 15. If you don't have Office 2016, you'll get a 0 with everything else. In Word 2003, I use Dragon to transcribe legal documents. Word will eventually stop responding, lock up, and I will lose the majority of the work I've done after about 20 minutes. Furthermore, when Dragon is running, Word's autosave features are severely limited, so you're pretty much screwed. This happens on a regular basis, and the only solution offered by Dragon Technical Support was to spend an additional $300 on Office 2016. Before you spend a lot of money on Nuance software, you need to know about these compatibility issues up front. This is unacceptable in my opinion.

problems, problems, problems dictating on the internet Gmail and other web-based apps only work occasionally, and the MS Excel add-in, as well as the Chrome extension, must be reinstalled every time I open them

My Microsoft Surface Pro is incompatible with it. On a different laptop, it barely works. br>Tech support is almost non-existent. They simply confirm the program's numerous flaws in broken English over phone lines with a poor connection. br>I spend more time trying to figure out how to make this program work than I do actually dictating with it. br>br>It was a waste of money, and I'm disappointed that it didn't work out. It is refundable. Speech recognition in Windows works better for me, and it's also free.

The transcribe feature isn't available

Their assistance is ineffective. The ability to transcribe recordings was one of the reasons I bought the product. Before failing / stopping, it only transcribes the first 2 or 3 minutes of the recording. I requested assistance from support several times. They are unable or unwilling to assist in the problem solving process. Be careful who you buy from.

I've been dabbling in dictation software for the past 20 years. Microsoft snatched up early versions of Dragon and incorporated them into their voice recognition software. While Microsoft , Google , and others went one way, Dragon continued to develop dictation by voice recognition to a level that is now almost 100% accurate as I dictate this review br>br>However, the program can only respond to what it hears. And it can only hear to the extent that your microphone's quality allows. I've included what I consider to be the best microphones to use with Dragon NaturallySpeaking in the video above and the links below. One, which I prefer, is a wireless Bluetooth headset. The other is a USB connection for the blue ice snowball microphone. Take a look at the video or photos for more information. I'm glad I just bought it after reading all the negative reviews

There were no issues during setup. There were no issues at all. It performs admirably. The voice recognition is far superior to the free app I was using, which was based on Google's voice recognition. I was concerned that training myself to speak rather than type the words would be difficult. I'm more adept at getting text on the page with Dragon than I am at typing after only a few hours. That's assuming you're a good typer. You think something and it appears on the page in the blink of an eye. There are a few minor details that the system misses. There are some characters in my game who have Russian names. Dragon's vocabulary had to be expanded to include them. And it rarely gets the right to, two, or too. However, my daily output has increased dramatically as a result of the increase in speed. I'm looking forward to learning the software in depth.

This version is far superior to previous versions

I've tried a few times to incorporate voice dictation into my company. I eventually gave up on trying out older versions of Dragon and the voice dictation feature in Microsoft Word. I've been using this product for a few days and find it to be a significant upgrade over previous versions of Dragon and the Microsoft Word dictation feature. I wrote this review using Dragon Professional 15, and I didn't have to correct a single word, and the software is much faster to set up than previous versions; Following a brief reading session, this version sets up its dictation vocabulary. br>In the past, I've found Nuance and its products to be frustrating, and I've vowed never to purchase another of their products. But, for the time being, I'm glad I tried again.
