I advise you not to buy. A few years ago, when I was under 10 and it was called SAND, I bought this product. Due to the fact that I had run out of my last box, I had to purchase My price went up, and it was dirty and gray when I received it. It was hard for me to let go of the sand at first but I knew my hammy loved it, so I did. I wake up during the night to find her dead even though she has only been using the new dust for a few days. Besides the gray sand on her nose, I noticed she also had sand in her hair. This was the only change I made to her house that I believe killed her because I did not do anything else outside of cleaning it. NOT TO BE USED! DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! There is no doubt in my mind that this trash will be sent Honestly, I am highly disappointed in their cheaper alternative to sand, and I am very sad my daughter went to be with the Lord.

I love this sand! It's great and my hamsters loved it as well! I like the fine texture and light golden color of this design. Then edit this! CHANGE HAS COME TO THE SAND! Now that sand is dust, it is no longer sand! THE COMPANY IS THINKING WHAT ARE THEY DOING? It's misleading because this product is labeled as sand and not dust as dust is not safe for hamsters. THIS COMPANY CHANGE IS THE SECOND CHANGE THIS COMPANY MADE TO THE HAZEL HAMSTER FOOD? Is their goal to lose money?.

It is now deadly for hamsters! A product used to be twice the size and actually sand. Now it is dust that is half the size, more costly, and twice as large.
The dust in this product is lethal His product caused the death of two of my hamsters within three days of using it. I had an autopsy performed on one of them, and the vet said her lungs were full of dust and that her cause of death was a lack of oxygen from respiratory depression due to the dust.

Hamsters should not be exposed to this! When I poured the product out of the container and there was smoke in the air, 50% of the product was dust. tried to wash out the dust by running the mixing bowl under water, but to my dismay, the whole thing turned into a soggy gray mud. It is hard to see sand texture it is all What gives you the right to put a hamster image on the container or advertise dust-free products in the description? You're gravely misled by this statement! had to throw out the entire container since my pet hamsters suffer from poisoning from it. The sand I used to swear by and recommend to everyone is really great. It was obvious to me when I first opened the new packaging that the formula was different. The color of the sand was gray instead of the usual light brown. When I poured it out, there was a bit of dust While it was dusty to begin with, I didn't believe it would be as bad as it appeared to be. I came on here to look at some of the reviews and have seen several people say that their hamsters have DIED after using this sand for only a short period of time. I immediately decided to stop using it and return it to the store. I would prefer not to use this with the new hamster formula. This is no longer the sand it used to be, but a fine dust now. For hamsters, dust is not suitable since they do not have the flaps in the nostrils that protect them from getting dust in their noses like chinchillas.

Whenever it was packaged in a carton, I used to use this product It is the same brown sand as before. The changes in packaging to a cylinder also come with a bad dusty product that appears to be cat litter crushed up. This is a horrible product. I do not recommend it. If I had a choice, I would give it zero stars.

Since my dwarf hamster has been using this sand for 7 months, I'm sure he'll love it. 'She loves it!' she said. It made me nervous at first that she might ingestion it, but so far, there have been no problems. When I add the new sand to it, she loves to roll around in it and use it as her potty. The cage she uses to go potty has three levels, so I'll watch her go from the top all the way to the bottom. Taking out the sand was a true test when I went away for two weeks and left her in someone else's care. I didn't want them to worry about changing the sand, so when I returned it was back in. then urinated in another corner of the cage, leaving a smelly mess for me when I returned to the cage. The sand is now back in her potty and she is using it happily once more! A container tends to last me four months on average. Her sand is replaced at least every three days, if not more frequently. You'll be glad you did
