The amazing sand bath that Waffles used has since passed on, but I will always be grateful for what he had the opportunity to use. A heavy ceramic bowl with sand was what I used to have before getting this. He would use it, but wouldn't like to sit in it for a long period of time. If he had to use it, he'd do his business and get back to a "safer place. ". The covered attribute of this one has captured my attention for a while, as it seemed like a product that would work well for his needs. I was not disappointed! In the end, he ended up spending more time in there, dragging a corn cob or snack into it and eating it up. My Hamster Facebook group notified me that this unit was going to need to be replaced soon so I took a look at it. In the end I buy it right away as it's not made of wood, will not hold urine smell, and fits perfectly in the cage for my Syrian cat. I have not seen my Syrian potty anywhere except while it is running on the wheel since I purchased this product. As of now, I have two hamsters and need one more to add to my next Those who need to take a sand bath will want to check these out. In addition, the top doesn't stain and is easy to clean.

Because half of the top has a lid, it's like having a raised platform with a lid on. I am not at all upset about the size since we'll have a place to place the speakers. This platform serves as a platform to put fresh fruits for my hamster so the bedding does not get stained. I am a little concerned about the height since I have a dwarf hamster that has a hard time getting out of it. It's nice and tall, so you could fill it with a good amount of sand, but I have seen him struggle with getting out. The whole thing is no big deal. I will just put a big rock in part of it so that he can come out more quickly. The overall design of this is excellent, and it will save you a lot of time if you have a hamster that uses the sand as a bathroom. It has been a bad habit of mine to put wood hides into the sandbath only to have them peed on, but this one features a platform which doubles as a hide, so I don't have to worry about.

A sand bath like this is amazing. A dwarf hamster can live in an enclosure of this size. Besides the nice high acrylic side walls, I like the 1/2 covered top because it gives my dwarf hamster some protection and makes me feel better about the cage. It is safe. Niteangel makes well made products, and I am glad I can buy them!.

The screen was bigger than I expected, so quite a bit of space was taken up by it, but I still like it, and I love that we could do a corner. This way, I'm able to keep her out of the sand and I do not have to worry about her getting entangled. A small hamster like mine may have issues climbing out so placing something inside yourself provides a convenient way for them to do that.

As soon as we put it in, we could see her getting right to digging and flinging sand all over. The large size of the container has allowed the sand to mostly stay inside. Due to the lid, a little water has leaked out, but it's not a big deal because there is a small space between the bath and the tank wall. Her new sand bath has become so dear to her that she has decided the corner of it is the perfect nest (with bedding and food), so she has moved in. The girl is now sleeping peacefully.
