This is the perfect cage A hedgehog might have problem fitting in there. My skepticism stems from the fact that I am unsure.
There is no point in recommending this balsa because it arrived broken and very thin.

I love the little house! He loves it so much! There were no flaws in the way it was built. Smaller hamsters are highly recommended to use this.
The hamster I got this for is a Syrian. Even though it is a bit tiny for her breed, she can still fit through the openings, and she loves climbing up on the roof. In the beginning, I thought it would be a place to nest, but it has mostly been a play place for her. I'm not sure if it will survive. The wood is thin, so I don't know if she will destroy it in the future. Despite the cuteness, it's incredibly difficult to read. Though it is still enjoyable for my hamster, I think it would be better suited for something smaller, such as a dwarf hamster.
In addition, This house is a favorite of both of my hams! You need to make sure you get a lid for this enclosure before you put it A roborovski managed to climb onto the roof of one of my 20G tanks with no ladder and then escape. Though I was extremely scared, I was able to find him thankfully! Unfortunately, I didn't put a lid on the tank that day and that was my mistake. To clean the surface of the wood, I pretty much use a paper towel soaked in vinegar water. The house is a little hard to clean so I pretty much just use that to do so.
It's so much fun having a new condo for my Robo hamster. She loves climbing on it and sleeping in it, even though it doesn't have a bell.
A slide was the only thing he didn't like, but no big deal since you can get rid of He chewed it a tad around the pink roof and a tad on the edges, but it was just at the bottom door that sticks out, so I really don't mind. Aside from that, it only has a few teeth marks on it. He also doesn't clean it with soap and water but it really isn't dirty so I don't do much with it except brush bedding and pops off of it. To him, it's like how we treat our houses in order to keep it nice and neat. There's no place he'd rather be! Hamsters can be in danger from this type of situation. Within 1 minute of putting her in her cage, I found her with the ball in her pouch, and she then had the sharp hook exposed on her cheek. This item's bell and hook should be removed if you decide to purchase it.
As a first observation, let me say that this is a piece of garbage, and it is dangerous for The 6 year old was insistent on finding out why someone had shoved the slide up the hole since he said it didn't work that way. As shown in the pictures below, this bell was in the box, but no connection was made to the hole made. In the end his hamster went on it and started screeching and his neck got stuck between the slide and the house, my son started to cry and said "Mama, his head is stuck. ". This was clearly a nightmare that would never go away.
I love my hamster hideout so much it is the cutest and most amazing item This is a favorite of my hamsters. Putting the hideout in the tank was all I had to do since it came already assembled.
