Besides the fact that the package has shrunk from 5lbs to 4, there is not much else to note. In other words, you get less for the same money, and sometimes you get too much powdered pellets or occasionally chunks of clumped materials of unknown composition that are left over from cleaning the machines and may have passed quality control (4'). I have used this product five times in the last twelve years. Each of my bun buddies have claimed it as their favorite. The 3 of them adjusted well to the transition from old to new Having so many micro nutrients including probiotics is exciting, and the fact that it's made from Timothy hay instead of meal is definitely appealing. This formula is what I have been using for my oldest bun since he was 12.
I feed my bunnies these pellets because they absolutely love them. Despite this, I have never seen a blue pellet before I got the food for them. We always buy pet food at the Pet store (Pet Co). As soon as I ordered it via Amazon, I found a blue pellet inside. My first reaction was to take the contents out of the garbage. I do keep an eye out to see if they bring blue pellets, though, because my buns love it. Additionally, they are good for training like 'up' and all that kind of stuff, as it is like treats for some buns, and for others, it is more like Although I do give them treats as well as pellets, my buns enjoy them very much. It is, all in all, a pretty good type of food, so I like it too, and so do my buns.
I had delivered this item on Monday, but my Rabbit hadn't touched it until Thursday. There was a bad smell, like socks, when I smelled it. There was a tan color to it, He smells like fresh grass, and it is green. I ran up to my feed store and got him what he really wanted. Having learned my lesson, I will move forward. I got it from my feedstore, called Oxbow. typically get 9lbs of mushrooms a month and they stay fresh in a rubbermaid bin for a month.
It has now been over ten years since our rabbit was born, so he is quite old. It's crucial that she eats a good quality diet. This is a great product. Don't ever feed alfalfa to your horse. Only feed Timothy-based foods. The purpose of alfalfa is to get rabbits to grow quickly and to get a shiny coat so they can compete at fairs. I love Kaytee brand Timothy Hay food as much as she does.
Rabbits will find this food to be the best. The body of a baby needs to be fed Alfalfa protein when it is growing up. Rabbits need to switch when they reach the age of a year. The fact that Kaytee finally listened to consumers and rid themselves of the bits of unprocessed hay is awesome. I've paid much more for a Timothy pellet and I love that it is non-GMO. I used to pick it out of my rabbit's mouth instead of eating It's not that she doesn't like hay, it's just that it's an Oat Hay Nesting Box it's just a box of hay the size of an elephant. We have a little girl who loves to rut around in the nesting box of hay we keep in her home, even though she is fixed. It is not uncommon for her to get in there and chew constantly. It's a good thing she isn't overweight, since we only feed her half a container of pellets to keep her healthy. The amount of hay in her box is so great, we keep it changed frequently, so she always has enough to keep.
Despite giving my 2-year-old Lionhead the right food, he ended up with blood in his urine and a UTI as a result of giving him the wrong meal. It is best to avoid these foods. I am disappointed.
I don't think my bun is too particular, but he does like it. As a family of four, we often go through this small bag quickly. We usually purchase a larger amount at our local feed store, but since staying at home, we bought this small bag on Amazon. fine, but I had to buy it from the local feed store because they sold it.
The Alfalfa I give my bunny is the only type of hay that he will eat. Picky was the name of the game. In addition, it helped wear his teeth down so there was less fighting between us. It was a hit with him.
