During the course of a month (give or take) my two rats were able to use this bag. The time it would take to catch mice would probably be doubled.
Buying this food for my pet rat is a great idea. It is the only type of food he will eat. The food it provides does meet the needs of rats.
We are not targeting Degus or Chinchillas with this. To feed them appropriately, it's always best to purchase food formulated specifically
The only time I feed it to my rats is as a treat. The only diet I would recommend is not the only diet for them.

Everything went well with my delivery! it turns out that my rats and mice love this stuff too, since I have them both! More than 20 mice and 8 rats (Rex, Dumbo, and normal) roam my house. A lot of anything is not good for you some people say too much chocolate gives you cancer, but most of us don't eat chocolate around the clock like these rats don't eat peanuts. The bag of peanuts shown here doesn't contain the entire bag. My favorite thing about the variety is how they also like it. A bag of a similar size from Walmart is going to be much cheaper, so I don't think this bag is worth the money. It's a very picky bag for my mice and rats, they pick out what they eat out of it very carefully. In any case, it's kind of a waste. In addition, rats and mice often get infected with those little bugs that can be found in certain bags of food that you must freeze when you get them. In the event you don't know what I am talking about this bag does not have bug issues. I feed it right out of the bag to my chickens whenever they are hungry and I never experience any bugs. To the other reviewer saying not to use this as their sole The rats that I own are all spoiled rotten. There are no cages or crates for them - they have their own beds. They are litter trained as well. If you feed them what you think is the best of the best you won't stretch their lives very far. Rats live up to three years. There is nothing better than taco Tuesday, fajita night, and hamburger grill night with my rats. My oldest rat is almost 3 years old and has quite a bit of gray around his eyes, so this bag is the main diet. This baby is so poor. I'm not sure how he got by, but he's had a pretty.
The worst pet food I've ever tried. It would have been better if I read more reviews before I purchased because I was given a bag of dried corn and peanuts, which are harmful to a rat's The idea that a company would market it as a "mouse and rat food" is incredible. The food my rats hate is better than the food that kills them, so I give them pellets instead.
Although mice love peanuts, they are unable to consume the billion-pound supply all at the same time Is it good for them? That is the million dollar question. The answer is "No. " It is known that peanuts make mice fat and lethargic since peanuts are high in fat. It's bad for mice and can be deadly for some people because peanuts are deadly to some children. So, it's bad for mice and dangerous to some people, it's stupid to put peanuts in mice & pets. Food products with no waste bits such as alfalfa pellets are not going to attract mice. Toward the end of my first breeding season, I accidentally started breeding mice ("I think he The pet store where I was buying a bag smaller than this one for $9 on the last day of my shopping trip was notorious (" famous last words"). The 16-piece container is kept stocked with these foods as well as other kinds of food I keep a stinky lot of them stocked up on food, which in turn keeps my snakes stocked up.
Rats enjoy the food I feed them. Although they eat much of this, they do not seem to enjoy the pellets, which make up about 40% of the bulk of this product. Not sure if this is due to the alfalfa, but since that makes up 40% of the volume, approximately 40% of it is wasted. The pellets probably would do fine for rodents that can and like that type of diet, but rats would not like it.
I have four rats in separate cages in which they live, so this is great. They all tear their food up and pick at their food dishes, so I always have to clean their cages and change their water daily, and clean out all of the smaller seeds, or change out their food dishes entirely when they don't like what's on the food dish. I am actually paying twice as much for what they eat as I should be.
