Purchase does not make sense

Worked fine, but not anymore. The instructions do not come with it, but I have set it up according to the pictures on this page and I do not see anything happen. There is no water being sucked up from the pump despite it being turned on and on. I don't see any use for this product. Oh, and it doesn't come with misting pieces you need.
