Questions & Answers

Does this make a good bathtub for hamsters to bathe and go to the bathroom?

Yes, I know I'm late on this, but yes. My dog used to roll in it and it kept his coat looking fresh until I started using it in his litter box. It has less dust than chinchilla sand or calcium sand. In addition to a large bath area located on the side of the house, he used smaller litter boxes that were partially filled with sand. Sand was a favorite of both the hamster and gerbil I had

This substrate looks like it would work for an aquarium, but what do you think? In the near future, I plan on installing a 40 gallon ?

The sand is a favorite of my musk turtle that lives in a 30 gallon aquarium.

A great product for hamsters
5/5

In addition, Sand from this bag went in the sandbox of my hamster. In addition to using it as a potty, she also uses it as a seat. You can easily scoop and sift it. When wet, it clumps, so it's easy to find the spots where she pees and to scoop it up. I bought a $5 (50 lb) bag of play sand for my son at my local hardware store because it was just cheaper. It takes a little time to bake that sand and sift out the larger rocks, but in the long term, it's a lot better than what I was using before. There are some differences, but I think this sand is a little easier to handle than play sand that is super grainy. Dwarf hamsters may want to roll around in their sand, so it's better to use this sand. It's best to choose play sand that is grainy for Syrians who want to dig a bit before going potty in it.

It seems like the sand is great, but I have seen reviews of sand that looks ripped or with holes in the bag
5/5

My package came closed by chance, so I was hoping to get a good deal. In my opinion, if someone were to buy this, he or she would be doing so by chance, knowing it might I give it to my hamsters and they The sandwich bags I bought a few months ago are still in my pantry. With a focus on the pricing for different types of reptisand, I believe that they should think about PACKAGING to prevent leaking.

The only pebbles I get out of it are those from sifting it before using. This makes it even easier to keep clean, since it clumps up where they pee!.

I really like the color of this sand because she likes digging in it, and it doesnt get too hot with the heat lamp. I also love the fact that it is super soft and lasts a long time.
