Questions & Answers

Is it just a matter of preference if these come in white or black?

On the page you will find two kinds of lamps From 75 to These lamps have a white circular shape with a 120-volt power source Electricity is distributed in the form of black squares. Thanks so much.

Can these be used in a metal cabinet that is 18 x 48 inches to contain feral cats? The temperature shouldn't get too high. ?

You should be able to use it. I get it. There are different temperatures for different sizes. The 75watt ones get about as hot as a 200watt light bulb depending on how cold it is and how many cats are in there.

What is the fire hazard for a chicken coop with these? Could you please suggest the type of light fixture to use for these areas? Thanks a lot! ?

It is a good idea to be careful with any heating source Several chicken coops were burned down by fire. Your hens can pull down a lamp as well. (I installed it properly lit the straw on fire. Hens managed to survive, but the top half of their coop with the corrugated plastic roof was destroyed. A metal corrugated roof was installed on the chicken coop. In spite of the fact that we still use the black heat lamps, they are much safer these days.

A tank housing a bearded dragon would require 75 watts of power. Is this too much?

I don't think so! A dome that can handle a 75 watt bulb should be your first choice! Make sure a temperature gun is purchased to monitor the In order to raise the dome higher above the tank, you can buy a stand to place it on if the basking area is too hot

The result was more than we expected. This product received a 3 out of 5 stars in my original review I gave them 4 stars because I found the lamp socket too small and it made clicking and humming sounds when the lamp was plugged Two hours after I placed my order, I received an email from the seller offering to replace the two lamps that I had just Following that, they kept in touch with me, letting me know when the lamps would be shipped and when they would arrive. There doesn't seem to be any pops or clicks with the new lamp, but for me, it is the immediate attention to customer service that elevates this Customer service is at the top of Amazon's priority list, and it emphasizes the safety of purchasing on the internet. I will do my best to keep it free. As a result, Omakey met my expectations and went above and beyond to meet my objectives. It's not a coincidence that the #1 Seller labels are on Amazon, and I hope to make that label mean something on my product page. It is without hesitation that I give this seller five stars and would continue to buy from him in the future.

I am satisfied with how they perform, very warmer than expected, but the wattage is much These were just delivered to me today, and I immediately tested them
4/5

There is a label on the bulbs that says 75W, but they are A member of the group pulls 85 Watts, and the other 83 Watts. It is notable that the 83W version is slightly hotter than the 72W. Do not touch these things because they can cause you a very nasty burn, even at temperatures over 625 degrees! Despite a good heat output, the temperature is not too high. My goal was to keep a bird warm with them. I believe they should be preserved they need to be protected You will need to be at least 15" away from the cage, in order to not become The children appear to be taking care of themselves I made this. Despite the tight sockets and even finish, these are both excellent quality products. Several stars have been taken off, because the power consumption rating is 10W off. Because I have just received them, I have no idea about their longevity. If they burn out too soon or if anything else goes wrong, I will update the review.

My friends and I have been using these The chicks are kept warm in the brooder by using these heaters
5/5

There are 18 chicks in our incubator, so we use two lamps, and it appears to be just enough heat for them all. There are no lights on 24/7 to disrupt sleep patterns there, which is nice. They have been kept under a heat light all night, and they are chirping and stirring all the time. As soon as the sun goes down, the ceramic heat bulbs become quiet.

Terrarium with a volume of 10 gallons
5/5

The purpose of this device is to keep an anole warm when the lights are off at night during the cold seasons. A 5 inch Zoo Med Deep Dome Lamp Fixture with mini globes is used to mount the bulbs. Using an "Inch Dome" on a standard 10 gallon aquarium screen top, it keeps the ambient temperature right at 80 degrees, 6 inches Perhaps switching to a 60 W for the 10 gallon to get a better night time temperature of 70 degrees. In the past, this heater has been running every night (and sometimes all day.

This is the best I have ever seen Okay, we'll start with the Russian Desert Tortoise
5/5

I thought I was in serious trouble, but you exceeded my expectations! My Russian tortoise is 18 inches long, and has a hot spot of 96°F in a warmish room, enclosed in a wooden pen (open top). In my opinion, it will always read above 90', so it is perfect! The fact that I can control the light in any way I like is amazing, and I also love that this is heat-free The only exception. My wish would have come true years ago if I had them! As it ages, I will write a piece about its longevity The project has lasted a month or so, and is still going very well.

Thus far, everything seems to be going well
5/5

Since I have been using them for several weeks, I can vouch for their effectiveness. There are a few considerations to keep in mind while using the product. There is no indicator light for these, so you won't be able to tell if they are on or not (unlike a light bulb in an You may notice that your temperature drops too low when using them. They take longer to generate heat than a light bulb. the thermostat is turned off, these are still emitting heat over a short period of time, which can push your room temperature over your thermostat's.

The cold edge of the coops is kept off
5/5

All of these ceramic heat bulbs have arrived intact, without cracks, without weird metal threads, and without being damaged during Towards the end of the day, they were all out in the coops! Yesterday, it was 27 outside, well below the freezing point. This will be one of the coldest weeks ever. Two small wood coops--one is 5 feet by 5 feet and the other is 3 feet by 3 feet--need a few screws to keep the edge from coming off. A resin shed measuring 5'x7' is one half of a 7'x7' Several birds are molting, so they need a bit of help keeping warm, as well as keeping the humidity level down. I noticed that they only took a few minutes to get up to temperature, and I can feel the heat radiating around 18°C There is a 20" distance between us. Both are protected by a thermal switch since only gentle heat could be directed at the roost. I only bought the 75W ones because the heat needed to be directed at their roost was only gentle. The birds have warmed (at roosting level) by *2 degrees above the outside ambient temperature so far today. It will be interesting to see how they perform later tonight when the temperature drops. There will be times in the future when I'll consider bumping it up to 100W, but just to be safe I'll only keep the base at 60W They are hardy breeds and ought to be able to endure the cold, but if they are too hot, the girls may get sick. The girls need a rest now before laying season starts again in the spring, so I like the fact that these heat emitters don't emit light. I have spoiled my hens to the extreme! In time, I will update this review if these bulbs fail or fail to last long. (I included a picture of one of the molting hens.
