It is not a worthwhile investment. Order 4 was confirmed as delivered, and order 2 was confirmed as delivered. After only a few days of use, 1 of them died. I made the decision to take some time off from them. Got a replacement, went out for two more days, and those who died the night before died. So one of my Ball Pythons became cold once more. br>br>I wish I could bring back the other three, or at the very least the two more who are still alive. However, I am unable to do so because I only have one delivery confirmation, rather than two. In a matter of weeks, three out of four heat lamps were gone. Using only 50wt to 100wt CHEsbr>br>Absolutely NOT! It's worth squandering your hard-earned cash on!.
I was sitting in the house when I noticed a burning smell. Thank goodness I was inside the house because as I rounded the corner, the Turtle's heat lamp had shorted out and was smoking! This is the second time this has happened, and the bulb was even dead! STAY AWAY FROM THESE LAMPS unless you want to kill your pets and burn down your house!.
These heat lamps are attractive, and I use them for my snake with ceramic bulbs, and they work and heat up quickly and efficiently. br>br>While I was at work, my cat managed to climb up onto the vivarium and smacked one of the animals. It was a long way from the hardwood floor, but it held up (the edge was only slightly dented) and kept the bulb from breaking.
They worked fine in general, but when you take out the bulb, the ceramic base tends to fall out. When I tried to remove a burnt out bulb (which happens frequently, but that's the bulbs), the base eventually became completely loose and would simply spin. To remove the bulbs, I had to grab it in strange ways and apply pressure at an angle, until the wires at the base twisted and popped one day. It's an unpleasant experience to have a spark while holding something, and it blew a fuse in the house. We have two fixtures, and both of them have experienced the same problem. The bulb would go out in one of them a week before it blew, and we'd have to twist it a little to get it to come back on. I'm guessing it was because of faulty wires at the base. It appears that this is a very risky situation. Is it possible that this is a problem with all ceramic base bulbs? In any case, if yours begin to come loose and freely spin when changing bulbs, be aware that the wires are likely to become unsafe.
I bought two of the Repti Zoo 5 sets. Last week, I bought five 5 inch deep dome lamps on Amazon. They arrived the day before yesterday. When I opened the two boxes, I was surprised to find that three of the four lamps had been damaged in various ways! The boxes were in perfect condition with no signs of wear and tear. They appeared to have been rescued from the trash. They were covered in large dings and dents. I'm not impressed with their product, and I'm very dissatisfied!.
These were purchased two months ago, and one of the fixtures is already broken. It's past the time limit for returns. It was a waste of money.
Back in July, I purchased these bulbs. In August, the first one went out, and I assumed it was just a bad bulb. The second one finally gave up the ghost at the end of September. I purchased these bulbs in July, and neither of them lasted any longer. In August, the first one went out, and I assumed it was just a bad bulb. The second one finally gave up the ghost at the end of September. Neither bulb could last more than two months. A complete waste of money.
The price is hard to beat, but one of mine was dented upon arrival. If both of them arrived in good condition, I'd say this is a must-have. However, I believe that a large number of people experienced the same difficulty. Anyway, even though it's dented, it still works, and we needed them right away, so they'll suffice. Just don't expect it to be on par with a television show.
