It has kept those pesky little midge flies out of her ears, and the inner lining is fuzzy, so I don't think she'll get sores around her forelock like she has with other masks I've tried. I ordered a cob size, but she has an arab head, so it still fits her, but I'd order a smaller size simply because of the velcro closure under her jaw line. I would highly recommend this brand.
I own Arabian horses and have bought a variety of brands. Shire masks keep the netting out of the horses' eyes, last a long time, and I love the little reflective bit on the nose for nighttime visibility.
The fine mesh provides ample "eye room" while keeping gnats out. There will be no chafing because of the soft trim. Overall, this is a fantastic product that deserves two thumbs up!.
This mask is absolutely gorgeous! The visibility through the black mesh is excellent, it's well-made, stretchy for a good fit, and it has two hooks. Tabs with loops for closure It was suggested by a friend, and she was correct.
It fits him perfectly and keeps the flies away, which are especially bad this year! It's simple to put on and adjust, and the color is eye-catching. It was well worth the money.
It doesn't irritate his face because of the fleece lining on the seams. The mesh is structured enough that it does not come into contact with his eyes. I am extremely pleased with my purchase.
In fact, it appears to be resistant to horses removing their masks. It's been raining here every day since I got it, so I haven't had a chance to use it yet. The order was delivered on time.
I ordered a cob size but received a full size, which is too big for my colt, so I won't be able to use it. The quality is fine; this is the brand of fly mask that I normally use; however, the size is incorrect.
