This is a great treat for my horses! It's more comfortable to wear a mask than to get gnat bites. Velcro strips hold them securely on and they come with good quality strips. Only one thing could be done differently on the packaging the way the mask is folded. There is an excessive amount of crease around However, after wearing it for a couple of days this doesn't seem to be an issue anymore. As of now, I have no idea how well it will hold up after a wash, but it seems to hold up well through the rain.
Although I really liked this fly mask and wanted it to work with my 14-inch head, I bought it in a cob size. mare has a classic Arab/Cob size face, so she almost had too big a mask around the top of her head, but the top of the mask was up high near her eyes, and the mask interfered with her eyes in an irritating manner. As far as I could tell, the mesh part of the shawl was not structured enough to keep In its place, I will order a fly mask with a nose from Cashel.
When we were young, it was a daily ritual to seek out our mare's fly mask in the pasture The brands that we have tried have been all good. No rubbing has been observed, and she does not appear to have removed it once. As long as the mesh stays out of her eyes, she is safe This is a super cute outfit! Our Haflinger needs new rugs, so I had to order a calf size that I had to return. It was too narrow across the eyes and he is a hard size to fit. Besides being great value, the price is fantastic!.
I was also not disappointed in the company. When I first ordered this mask, it had arrived quickly, but when I took the package out of the mail, I saw it was opened and empty. I sent in for a replacement, and they got it done just like that! You won't have to worry about anything.
There is a huge glare across this mask after sunset, and horses can't see it, and a car also passed by as I was trying to get my mare to come down after getting it off of her, I spent an hour trying to get her to come down.
There was no way he could fit his ears into the tube, so he rolled in it and got back to his regular life. The nose shade impressed me greatly. The shade alone prevented him from getting sunburned on his nose. I usually put sunscreen cream on it, but this time the shade alone did most of the work!.
As I read reviews, I was very hopeful. I tightened them up really well on second try, but again they slipped off after two attempts in a row. They fit perfectly and I tightened them up really well on third try, but both horses had them off within hours. There are no double Velcro tabs on these masks like they have on These were purchased for my two horses, since the hats had a flap over a tiny bit of their nose, which makes them both very sunburned. The entire front is mesh, which I thought was a great design. Despite my disappointment, I can't move on. The brand I used to buy these two will be returning and I am going to try another.
She wears this lightweight mask every morning and her white nose has not gotten burned since she started wearing it. The one we have she sneezes all over, but she is generally happy with it.
