I body clip horses, and some of them aren't very clean, so instead of constantly having these sharpened, I just go ahead and do it. These blades perform admirably and maintain their sharpness for at least four horses, if not more.
Sharp blades attach easily with a screwdriver, and delivery is lightning fast. It speeds up the process of body clipping a percheron cross. Sharp blades make it a lot easier. These are the same blades that came with your Clippers when you bought them, not a knock-off!.
These blades were purchased to body clip Sam, my 30-year-old gelding. They did an excellent job. Sam's coat was silky smooth, and a friend even complimented me on the clipping job. If you're wondering why I'm body clipping in August, it's because Sam suffers from Cushing's disease, and I'm all about keeping him cool in this Arizona heat.
I'm overjoyed, but when it came time to clip the horse, he freaked out. The clippers make a lot of noise. We used a smaller battery-operated set to clip him. They worked fine, but it took a little longer than expected. A full-body clip, to be precise. He looked fantastic at the show two weeks later! Just like the rest of the champion Quarter Horses in the area! br>br>Next, I'll replace the clippers' bearings. I'm aware that the Stewart-Oster clippers are loud, but I believe that new bearings will help a lot!.
I'm glad I bought this blade as a replacement. I have a heavy-duty machine that stopped cutting from one day to the next, and I assumed it was the machine; however, I bought a replacement blade, and it now works perfectly.
Oster has consistently produced high-quality goods.
It was ordered so that I would have a spare; I've been using these for 50 years. They're the best, and the clippers they go with are even better.
After nearly 40 years of using Oster clippers on poodles, the Oster Clipmaster (basically a sheep shear) was an obvious choice for our Goldendoodles. Shearing their bodies to a nice length is quick and easy with the big clipper. I just wish Oster offered a variety of blade lengths for the Clipmaster clipper.
