This pick's tip is similar to that of a flat screwdriver (about 10 mm or 3/8" wide), but it is neither sharp nor pointed like those of others. Because of the danger of using a really sharp pick if not handled carefully or if not used by someone with little knowledge, I like this a lot. This is not a small tool, but its grip is very comfortable, and it allows you to control it with great This may be of some help
It does seem so to me. I highly recommend it since it works well and is worth the cost

This is a superbly constructed product, but it would have been even better if the hooves had edges on the sides/top. On the tool there are neither an edge nor a brush to scrape off the sides or the exterior of hooves. The product is very well made and is useful when used in between the frog areas. It has proven to be very durable, and after a few years of use it shows no signs of imminent failure, unlike some others that eventually malfunction. It can easily be hung on the wall due to its cutout, and the bright yellow color makes it easy to find if it falls. Due to its comfort and ease of use we suffer less hand fatigue, which is essential since we are in our 60s. As a final benefit, the shape of the blade allows for easy picking. My 22-year-old quarter horse does not enjoy yielding his hooves for very long, so this is a really great tool! These hoof picks are four in number two for our barn and two for our use while we're I find this to be a good read It's a well-designed, high-quality horse shoe, and will serve you well (and your horses).
I have found no better hoof pick than this one. Due to arthritis in my hands, I need a grip I can rely on. My mare picks up rocks between her frog and the heel of her shoe, and a different hoof pick broke when it was trying to push a jammed shoe on her. Her hoofs are barefoot and her feet are 5" long. I had a friend who used this hoof pick and the Jr version was able to pull the hair out without bending. A stainless steel pick is used for this pick, and the shafts of the pick go through This is a very well-made horse saddle bag. I have one here and a Jr in my pommel bag and the tack room of my horse trailer. This is a great product!.
I was so excited to find it! As long as my horse's feet are not covered with mud, they stay pretty clean, but I have some trouble with the other hoof picks that I own when they are. I got one, I had the thin, durable hoof pick which hurt my hands, the hoof pick with the brush which bends if I tried to get dried mud out, and the hoof pick with comfort grip that also bends if mud is in it. All of that is not an issue with the Ultimate hoof pick, which makes picking out the mud a breeze!.
A little more than 15 years ago, I bought my first ultimate hoof pick. You can see it on the left side of the picture. The wear and tear of thousands of foot and hoof steps is apparent when I have worn about half an inch off of my hoof. I find this tool to be the best I have ever encountered! Picks of poor quality aren't going to give you the leverage to remove that frog from under your feet. It can be used on rocks or dirt that's strong as a rock, on snow pack, on horse crap or wedged rocks. I find it easier to perform my job this way. The problem with these products is they are so good, if you are a casual horse owner, you will have an item that will last you your entire life! Throw your other picks out this is awesome!.
It was necessary to keep a second hoof cleaner since I have 84 to take care of. There are many picks out there, but I have tried many other options and this is my favorite by far. It has a great The grip is easy for my hand and it doesn't fatigue after a long time wearing it. In the photo, you can see that there is no brush in the pick, which is obvious. In my opinion, cleaning should be done with a separate wire brush. This pick costs more than others, but it's worth the extra money. Probably in the near future, I'll order a third.
Hoof picks are a must-have. They are my favorite. I use it to remove pasture dried on mud from my horses' feet, and it is easy on the Unlike the old screw driver kinds, this one feels so much better than them. I won't be buying any more $2 hoof picks. The next time I see one of these, I'll treat myself. All three of them already belong to me. There should be one tray for each horse's tack. The one I am looking for is one my husband is looking for too. The money spent was.
It is a model I have purchased several times in the past. The only time you replace it is the first time you buy In all of my kits, I have one. You must be careful not to stab the frog when you are handling it for the first few times, but once you get a tolerance for it and feel comfortable using it, you will be able to control it like a pro. I highly recommend it.
