I've had mine on a small herd of Nigerian dwarf goats for over a year and they are still just as good as new. They definitely depend on how many goats you own, but they should last for a long time.

There is no stopping them. This warning applies! There is a LOT of sharpness in these. Hooves (and fingers) are gone in a very short period of time. Gloves would be a good idea! A digit was nearly lopped off to prove this I urge you to be cautious when handling them. If you work with animals, you should wear gloves. purchased these last year, in the middle of the year This is the April 2018 edition. It wasn't possible for me to locate the hoof shears I bought in 2008 when I got my Boer goats. These seem to be identical to those. I realized shortly thereafter, however, that either the quality of the products had declined OR that these were not the same brand as my previous It took me a while to gather my original pair, but they are still very sharp after all these months, and I have The company that manufactures them is It would be better if you purchase Saboten hoof shears and let go of a little money. There is an Amazon listing for the 1210 model, which I have. I value my time extremely highly, and having to stop what I'm doing to sharpen a tool is annoying.
In my local TSC yard sale, I had to buy some clippers to trim my Nigerian (Dwarf) goats' feet, and all they had were huMUNGUS clippers purchased them, because she needed her feet done, and tried them on, but they were too big for her. As a result, I bought these on Amazon, the old reliable! It took a few days for the express shipping to arrive and they work great! The trimmers on this website are excellent for goats, sheep, Having used these a few times, I was impressed how sharp and accurate they are, and how they lock after use without the little plastic cover that is going to be destroyed after use three. * This is a fantastic.
After many feet, your hand hurts, but this is my first choice. The price is great, they last a long time before needing to be sharpened, but they are dangerous if you're not comfortable to hold them. While I made my own tip cover/protector, these should come with one that snaps on! These are weapons, after all! am still in need of the big bolt- cutter style to break apart really thick/overgrown hooves, but with these I can do a lot.
I am in love with As someone who does a lot of work around the homestead, I am often frustrated and annoyed at how many tools are designed for men. When I used these to trim my goats' hooves, I couldn't believe how much easier it Sharp and easy to handle, these scissors are a great tool. These are exactly what I was looking for as my old ones were too big for me to comfortably grasp.
This is what I use to trim goats' hoofs. Be very careful when handling this very sharp tool (you may cut yourself). It's useful for trimming goat hooves. The only downside is they do not stay sharp for long and can't be sharpened again. A nubian goat is one of my four pets. It is my practice to trim every month. It's been a little over four months since my last pair was replaced.
I found these shears to be very well constructed. The hoof trimmers worked well and had no play. I used them to trim the hooves of my goat herd. In the end, I managed to cut what I wanted. With the straight blades, it was easier to get under the wall of the hoof. In addition, the picture is very clear. In my opinion, the only 2 complaints were that the locking switch is plastic and the lanyard is of a very cheap quality. In my opinion, neither of these two features are a big deal and they would definitely be valuable to me. However, if you will be a heavy user, these two functions may not be up to par over time. I would buy this product.
A very sharp blade is also included. This tool is adequate, however, the lock sticks, which means I have to unlock it after each cut, which is a big pain, because we all know when we clip hooves we want to get it done quickly because the goats don't like it, so faster The blades on this knife are very sharp, and you must wear gloves because you will be cut if you do not wear gloves. Although I do like these, I am going to glue the trigger on. I have tried removing it, but it was not easy at all. Locks would be nice, but I'd rather it was non-locking. A lock can be changed or the locking mechanism can be changed.
