Sold as a set of two. 2 wraps around the legs
16" will suffice, and 18" may be possible. The cannon bone can be measured to be sure. The wrap can easily cover the knee on the front leg, so the measurement isn't important. Only the hind leg needs to be measured.
They were a Christmas gift for my daughter last year, so I'm not sure.

I'm using it on my older mare who has a bowed front tendon and is losing her suspensories. According to the veterinarian, she has made significant progress in her recovery. Every night, I dress her in them. They offer assistance in some form - I don't wear them during the day because they bother me. br>br>It's essentially a stiffened nylon shell with three velcro straps - Two straps go around the cannon bone, one under the fetlock and the other around the fetlock. A thick, soft pad infused with ceramic is placed inside this shell. br>br>Because my mare lives in a paddock, she gets rolled in dirt and chips, gets wet from fog and sloppy drinking, and still looks good after three months. She did manage to rip the velcro-covered section of the fetlock strap off. I took it to the cobbler, who sewed a leather patch on it, and it now functions perfectly.
I began wearing the wraps on Monday, following the instructions to wear them for a short period of time before gradually increasing the length of time. The swelling above the fetlock was something I was dealing with. He'd slipped as he exited the team roping box and was now on a scale of one to ten. On a scale of one to ten, it's about a two on the soreness scale. He was sound after two weeks, but there was some leftover fluid. I needed to get rid of the fluid, so I started using BOT quick wraps. There was a significant decrease in fluid buildup after only three days. This product has made me very happy.
These were purchased for a horse who had a swollen hind leg injury. The horse is doing well now that the swelling has subsided. Then I used them to "warm up" the front legs of a horse who had previously suffered from laminitis and became sore when the weather turned cold. It appears to be of some assistance. Leave them on all day, but he's only in a small paddock and isn't properly turned out.
Begin slowly and gradually increase the amount of time you spend wearing them. Also fantastic from a human standpoint. What a difference a week makes for the horses who wear them. My horses are racing, so they need extra care for their legs, and these are fantastic at reducing inflammation. Your horses will thank you if you use this product. ๐งก๐.
My off-track pacer has a bad hock, pastern, and tendon in one hind leg, so I'm using the Back on Track Wrap and a Back on Track hook boot to help him. He has more definition in his tendon and holds up better on trail rides after I put the two braces on for a few hours each day (with a week of rest as suggested).
I can't say enough good things about BOT products, and this one was no different. My friend had a bad kicking accident that became infected and necessitated the removal of her front right leg's entire splint bone. As a result of the reduced blood circulation, her hoof began to grow slightly smaller. After four days, there is a noticeable increase in motility, as well as less stiffness and a greater willingness to bend. It's absolutely incredible.
