I only rinsed a couple of times and there was no bleed. I was in green, and the stones were extremely soft. Excellent craftsmanship.

Due to the gravel, we almost lost a beloved family pet. We removed the fish from the tank and placed him in a different container because he appeared to be dying. I couldn't seem to get the water to clarify no matter what I did. I experimented with different filters and even purchased a new pump. The color was leaching off the gravel and fouling the water, I eventually realized. After the gravel was completely removed, the fish were returned to their tank. I made a big mistake by purchasing this gravel, and it cost me a lot of money. Our beloved family pet was on the verge of death. I'd give it a minus if I could. 5 out of 5 stars. I rinsed and rinsed and rinsed some more. They didn't stop there. My hands had turned a deep shade of emerald. I put it in a bowl of water and stirred it with a wooden spoon - My spoon has turned a bright green color. The pebbles had to be washed away for hours. I put the pebbles in our tank with our new fish, and the fish died within hours; the next day, we got new fish, and they died within hours as well; and I've had my water tested three times at two different locations, and the levels have all been perfect. While I can't say for sure that this gravel is to blame or even that it's toxic, I can't recommend it either because of the chemical runoff! I was fortunate enough to receive a refund from Amazon. Be careful who you buy from.
My fish was 6 years old at the time, and he'd been through a lot of gravel, plants, and water changes. Last night, I did the first big water change with this gravel, and the water lost all of its color, becoming cloudy and green. My fish died the next day.
We'll be ordering more for the other fish tank. It's very easy to clean and has a beautiful green color. For the money, it's a fantastic deal.
After cleaning the tank and installing the new gravel, I returned downstairs the next morning to find all of the fish had died.
My gravel is used as undergravel filtration in another tank.
The size and color are perfect. Awesome.
