Questions & Answers
Yes, they are ideal for aquarium use. However, I would first rinse the pebbles to remove any dust.
This isn't a large stone, but rather a smaller one. Gravel for aquariums.
They're roughly the same size. There are a few stones that are up to 7mm in diameter that I see.
It's not manufactured river gravel; it's natural river gravel. We've used it to cover soil on potted plants, replace sand in a child's sandbox, and in a fish aquarium. If you're using it for fish or children, I'd recommend rinsing it to remove any dust and drying it in the sun. The purchase was a great success.

Recognizing that these, like any other aquarium substrate, must be thoroughly cleaned. These pebbles were cleaned four times in water prior to installation. After rinsing them, I was confident that they were ready to be installed in a new 30 gallon tank. tank. With new filter media, the filter worked perfectly. For the first seven days, as the photos indicate, The water clarity had improved dramatically over the previous ten days. All of the tank glass, heater tube, and plants developed a white hard water film about two weeks into the cycling process. I tested the hardness of the water and found it to be extremely high. The water clarity did not improve after I increased the filter flow. (Photo three) The situation has only gotten worse. The stones were releasing microscopic calcium particles into the water, which were too small for the filter to remove. White calcium was used to coat the glass and everything else in the tank. The tank was drained, the plants were washed and treated, and the gravel was removed. It was clear that the situation would persist and, more than likely, would not be resolved. I decided to cut my losses and use these lovely pebbles as drainage on my plant shelves. This is the most detailed Amazon review I've ever written, but I'm doing it in the hopes of preventing another aquarium enthusiast from making the same mistake.
This isn't aquarium medium that has been colored. This is the genuine article from Mother Earth (approximately). 3/16 (3- 4mm) is a genuine earth stone. Because the contents were slightly damp, you'll need to give it a quick rinse with water to remove a small amount of sediment before using it again. Within one Priority box, eight sealed plastic bags arrived. My USPS friends had to deliver it in a plastic USPS mail container because it was too heavy for the single Priority box and the box had been completely destroyed. Duct tape the Priority Shipping box twice on each side and twice on each front. This was on the verge of being a complete flop.
I soaked them in hot water, washed them with dish soap, ran them under water again, soaked them, rinsed them, and my fish bowl water was filthy as a result. It was necessary for me to dump it and start over. They have a nice natural appearance, but because of the amount of work involved, I would never buy or recommend them to someone looking for rocks for their fish bowl or aquarium.
There are no issues that I have. It was clear that a lot of rinsing was required. The stones are exactly as described, and they are small pebbles similar to those found in a lake or river. There's a nice color mix that gives my tiny nano tanks an earthy feel. I'd buy it again. br>br>.
The gravel is very nice. Cleaning is a breeze. Although it was a little larger than I had hoped, I still used it. However, while rinsing, I discovered a rusted nail (thank goodness I didn't get stabbed!). I would suggest it, but be cautious of debris.
The gravel in this aquarium is not the same as the gravel in most aquariums. It has a slightly bigger diameter. The gravel is something I really like. If you buy it, be sure to thoroughly rinse it before putting it in your tank. "Dusty" was the word that came to mind. It also had a few small pieces of seashell remnants, which I found intriguing.
Dusty on the other hand It's completely natural, too. I really like this natural gravel; it gives my 20g High a more natural appearance. Despite the fact that I had to rinse it about 5 times to completely remove all of the dust. In the gravel, I also came across a DEAD spider! As a result, it appears to be entirely natural. Overall, it's a solid performance.
The rocks were dirty, so I rinsed them in a colander one scoop at a time, but the tank remained cloudy. br>At this price, I'd think the rocks would at least be clean if they were sold for an aquarium. br>I could have gotten the same thing for free at a home improvement store.
