They were covered in an oily substance. You were on my property, but dish soap took care of that. If you're going to use them for fish, a quick scrub with soap and water might be a good idea because there's no wax or paint on them.

These stones are lovely and serve an aesthetic purpose well. I was quick to purchase for my newly acquired tank because the listing did not mention paint or any coated surfaces on the rocks. Despite the fact that the water in my clean tub rinsed clear, the rocks scratched the surface badly. After moving the stones to a new container, I realized that the scratch marks on the rocks were actually a coating. br>In the first photo, you can see the dramatic change in appearance from the outer coating to the inner coating, which is not natural in tumbled stone.

It can be rubbed away with a fingernail. I didn't realize it until it was too late, and half of my fish perished as a result. The fact that the filters were black (which they had never been before) led me to believe it was the rocks. What a calamity. These are being sold as aquarium rocks, and I can't believe it. FISH SAFETY IS NOT ONE OF THEM!.

On Amazon, this is the best bang for your buck

For the weight, this is the most affordable option. This is the best deal on Amazon for these large black polished rocks. They're all black, and they're all about the same size. They have a high level of polish and have far exceeded my expectations. They usually appear in one of two ways: very flat and circular or very round and flat With only a few broken rocks, there are no really odd-shaped pieces. I'll be returning to this seller if I ever need more.

This is not shown in the pictures. Larger pebbles than I had hoped for, but that was most likely due to my failure to read the reviews or all of the product information. but it's a great idea They'll be put into a fish tank. It'll be interesting to see how it all comes together.

Fish tanks aren't a good idea. It's completely false! These stones have been polished. They shouldn't even be on the list of aquarium products. I'm going to throw them in the garden because they're such a waste of money!.
