Questions & Answers
It's about one layer deep in a 10 gallon, which I used. I would use two bags in a 20 gallon container.
There are several colors available. Charcoal, black, brown tones, and white are just a few of the colors available. Proportionately, there are a few more darker colors. The stones are stunning.
For 500 stones, I'd buy two bags.
I'm not sure what's preventing it.

Let's begin with the disadvantages, as there is only one: River rocks, to be exact. They are available for no cost. PRO: br>br>PRO: br>br>PRO: PRO: PRO: PRO: PRO: PRO
- This is a lovely addition to my aquarium. br>- They are extremely popular with the fishbr>- They're camouflaging my air stones while allowing the flow to continue. br>- br>br>Notes: br>br>Super easy to cleanbr>br> br>1 is the most common. The pound-per-gallon rule is in effect - > 1 pound of substrate per gallon of water (10 gallon tank = 10lbs of substrate)br>Substrate can be cleaned in a variety of ways. Boiling, baking, or the manual rock tumbler method (which I used because they're big): br>Place enough rocks in the bottom of a container to make a single layer, cover them with hot water, close the lid, and "tumble" for 30 seconds or so, then dump the water and repeat once more. Soak in the vinegar (I use about 1/4 cup per gallon). Then repeat the process with a dechlorinator, dump, and refill. After that, place the tank in it. It may appear to be a large amount of work, but the entire bag can be completed in less than an hour.
The Aqueon 20 gallon tank fits perfectly. The polished rocks are incredible! I took out all of the chipped rocks, which amounted to about 3 in total. Not bad. Before putting them in a 20 gallon aquarium tank, I rinsed them all. Approximately 2 inches deep across the tank, 1 bag filled the bottom perfectly. br>These rocks are lovely. It's less expensive than going to the local pet store. Another 100% excellent Amazon purchase!.
They were spotless, and some of them gleamed. Our aquarium's bottom was perfectly captured in this photograph.
These rocks appeal to me greatly. They were put to use in my aquarium. They are larger rocks (ranging in size from 1 to 2 inches). They have a nice, smooth finish. They don't look like river rocks, in my opinion. I collect rocks and have some river rocks, but they appear to have come from a rock tumbler rather than being smoothed by a river. I've done rock tumbling before, so I know what it's like. If you take the time to feel the rocks, you'll notice that they have a slick coating on them, which is most likely the result of the tumbling process polishing them. If you're going to put these in an aquarium, you'll want to wash them first to get rid of the wax coating. There are a variety of methods for doing this, but I prefer to remove it with boiling water, white distilled vinegar, and motion. To make it easier, I worked on about a third of the bag at a time. Find something that can withstand both hot water and rocks. br>br> Place your rocks in the container and fill it with boiling water and vinegar. Allowing it to sit for a few minutes is something I enjoy doing. Then begin agitating the rocks in the area. You may notice a waxy ring forming around the container's water line. When the water begins to cool, give it a thorough rinse. To remove all of the polish from each batch, I had to repeat the process a few times. br>br>Although cleaning these rocks took some time, I like them and would purchase them again. However, I wouldn't recommend these if you're looking for something to throw into your tank right away. I'm not sure if the coating would be harmful to your fish, but I'm not willing to risk it.
I decided to read reviews and ask questions about this product before ordering it. I wasn't sure if buying one would be enough, so I ordered two. Well, I must say, these are far superior to my expectations. They're quite large, which is exactly what I was looking for, and they're easy to clean. They also didn't cloud the water like gravel usually does. In addition, I only had one bag with me. Now I'm free to work on other projects with the other. They were even delivered a day ahead of schedule, which was a bonus. Thank you very much!.
These rocks appealed to me in every way. The tank appears to be in excellent condition and is much easier to maintain. There are no adequate words to express how much better my tank now appears. Love them; in my 55 gallon tank, the 18 pound bag with a smidgeon of color gravel was just enough to make it look natural.
For a 55 gallon tank, two bags were sufficient.
I ordered four of these to use in a garden and for other craft projects. It has a nice sheen to it. My only complaint is that some of them are misshaped, with chips and dents, but other than that, it's a good deal for the amount you get.
