If you scrub it clean with a clean cuticle brush (no soap, just water) once a month when it gets algae growth on it, each air stone can last a couple of years. Air stones are resistant to wear and tear. This bag is enough to last a lifetime, lol!

Only one; My top performer has a score of one. The tank is 5 gallons, but it only holds one gallon of water. It's probably "too small" for him, but it's been his home for a year, and he enjoys his bubbles. Plastic plants serve as his lounge chair and tunnel. He'll swim over, ride up the bubble stream, swim back out, and repeat. When I turn off the bubbles to prevent his food from floating away, he stares at the stone until I re-plug it. These Pawfly air stones are truly as good as the online reviews suggest; however, I was hesitant to buy them because the previous air stones I've purchased on Amazon have been average, despite the fact that the prices are generally lower than in a pet store. About air stones, there isn't much to say. When connected to your air pump, their job is to provide aeration for your aquarium. These were purchased to replace air stones that had become clogged in the undergravel outlet tubes of my 60 gallon tank. I put them in my tank without "prepping" them first and got a huge flow of bubbles almost immediately! These bubbles are medium to large in size, but I'm using a twin outlet pump with a higher output, and the tubing is divided into four air stones. I imagine these stones would be ideal for any size tank, but keep in mind that in smaller tanks or tanks with more delicate species, excessive air flow can cause extreme turbulence. The oxygen levels in the tank are directly aided by air flow, but proper water changes and ph checks are still required for a more successful experience. Best regards!.
So far, these have been perfect little air stones. They have a surprising amount of weight. When affixed to line and suction cups, I had no trouble getting them to sink or stay down. br>br>There was no dust or chipping when I removed them from the package. When it came to setting them up, there was no clogging. When tested, they all bubbled vigorously and have performed flawlessly in their tanks. br>br>They work well with standard air tubing and haven't caused any problems with sealing. br>br>Algae has not been an issue. They haven't shown any dead zones in which it could be attracted. br>br>The colors blended well in my tanks, and the small size was easy to conceal. br>br>My fish seemed to enjoy the bubbles, and while I did soak them as instructed, they didn't appear to have any residue or unwanted contaminants in or on them. br>br>I believe that's it, lol. This was a good deal for high-quality air stones, and I'd buy them again if I needed them.
They did a fantastic job of enveloping my brain in a cloud of bubbles. Once it starts blowing bubbles, you won't even notice it. It's a fantastic product, and it comes in a variety of sizes.
I soaked the stone in plain tap water for over an hour and even tapped it firmly on the side of the container (while it was still fully submerged) to ensure that no air bubbles were trapped inside, preventing the stone from properly soaking. 3/16" ID "quarter inch" OD hose is required. For the money, it's a good deal. The basic function of stones is to work. The seam between the plastic cap and the stone appears to be where most of the bubbles are coming from. When you first start up a stone, it may not work or be weak, but if you tap it carefully on the ground, it will work. Will not fit Penn-Bradley "Standard" hose with a 1/8" ID. Get a better hose than Plax, which isn't even close to being standard (3/16" ID is). Overall, these air stones are quite good.
The bubble created by these is very small, but there is one drawback that rendered these items useless in my aquarium: the noise, which is extremely loud and irritating. It's even louder than the sponge filter I have; I bought it in the hopes that it would be quieter than the filter, but it isn't.
I expected a little more air dispersion from this product. The bubbles are a little bigger than I expected. I was hoping these would be the same ones I found previously with a small bubble stream, but they are still a fantastic product.
These are a favorite of Speedy, our goldfish. They're quiet and give him just the right amount of bubbles. In the bubbles, there are also crazy fish.
