This is the air hose for aquariums that you require. br>Others are more rigid, thinner, slip off, or harden over time, and simply do not cut it. For the past 20 years, I've kept aquariums. This is the hose that you're looking for.
. I tried the black hoses because I thought they would blend in better, but they're all made of a different kind of plastic/rubber. They're a major source of aggravation and disappointment.
This tubing is extremely soft, resembling surgical tubing rather than the standard airline tubing found in aquariums (for which I purchased it). br>br>However, I did not purchase this because I required special tubing. I bought it because I couldn't find regular tubing on Amazon in the timeframe I needed it (a few days versus a week or more! ), but I also couldn't find it in the quantity I needed. ), and my entire TOWN had run out of tubing. I assume it's due to a material shortage, which I understand and sympathize with (because I'm not a monster), but I'm also aware that my fish required proper care. br>br>As a result, I'm glad this came up. It was not only delivered when I needed it, but it is also excellent tubing. I like how flexible it is, how well it has held up, how easy it has been to work with, how there have been no leaks or gaps so far, and how the color is fine since transparent tubing isn't much less noticeable anyway. If you design your tank correctly, it will eventually become completely covered in plants. br>br>I also thought the price was fair because I got so much tubing. I was able to run several air stones with mounds and mounds left over from just one package, so I and my fish are covered even if the shortage lasts for a long time.
The tubing I received has a chemical odor to it. I cut a 4-inch piece and have been rinsing it for three days, but the chemical odor persists. I'm not going to put any of that tubing in my fish tank.
I fell in love with it right away because, unlike regular airline hose, it wasn't coarse or difficult to apply to the areas I needed. This hose has a lot of flexibility, which I like. BUT, don't be put off by this! It's difficult to remove once it's on, which is a good thing. When I need to remove something, I always have an exacto on hand. I say this because I'm amazed at how easily it goes on, and I was afraid it would fall off, but I was completely wrong! I've purchased this tubing on several occasions and will continue to do so in the future. This is also something I recommend to people who I assist in the setup of aquariums in my neighborhood.
I was tired of stiff air lines that were difficult to conform, so I went with a soft flexible air line. This line is ideal; the clear color is a little matted, but it blends in beautifully. For a watertight seal, I made sure that all of my connectors were snug. My package arrived in a timely manner. I am ecstatic!.
I needed to replace the air hoses in my fish tank, so I ordered this. The air pumps, check valves, and air stones all have tubes that fall off. Since using this air hose, I've had to reattach it on a weekly basis. Instead of the rubbery non-fitting hose from aquaneat, I've now purchased a regular air hose to replace all hoses.
I bought two 25' rolls because they were less expensive per foot than the next size up. The tube has a thick wall and is quite flexible. It's not as stiff as clear vinyl hose, but it's also not as supple as silicone, so it's in the middle. When bent, the hose does not kink. br>br>Be aware that because this hose is opaque, it may stand out more in your tank. That is not a problem for me, but it is something to consider. br>br>Overall, good value, and I'd buy it again if I needed more.
What I liked about it was this: br>1) Excellent Valuebr>2) Soft and Comfy - No more fumbling with filters, pumps, air stones, or anti-siphon valves. br>3) When submerged in water, it becomes translucent. br>3) It makes my hobby a lot easier!.
