This item was dropped by me. running. I put it in my aquarium about a week ago. For a minute, I was DEFINITELY pumping water. I dried it out for a couple of days, assuming that I'd have to replace it eventually. Nope! It still works fine, with no discernible difference in noise or performance. I'm getting a second of this brand to have on hand.
I bought this for my compost tea, and it works great. I expected something cheap, but I was pleasantly surprised right out of the box, with lots of bubbles and adjustable air flow. I would buy it again.
There is a flow adjuster, which I use all the time. The bubbles it produces are louder than the pump itself, so it's fairly quiet. It may have also included some extras. Overall, I'm pleased with the outcome.
However, it's nice and quiet, and it comes with one-way flow valves, clear tubing, and air stones. There isn't much vibration, so I can keep it on top of the tank without issue!.
I read the reviews and found them to be mixed, so I decided to give it a shot. It began quietly and then became increasingly loud. The air flow could not be reduced to a very low level, and there was little room for adjustment. I had no issues returning it or dealing with the seller. The hum is deafening.
The fitting is recessed into the device for some reason, making it difficult to attach the tube.
There are two outlets included in the package. I've got one hooked up to a sponge filter, and the other to a long bubble wand; it's got the power to do it, and I can't even hear it! nice.
For my 5-gallon tank, I required this. It works fine when connected to a cartridge filter, but even on the lowest setting, adding one of the bubble stones was too much. This, on the other hand, works well and would be ideal in a larger aquarium. The noise level isn't too loud for me, especially when compared to an air pump I had a few years ago.
