Questions & Answers
They're fine stones; the airline is a little flimsy, but not bad for the price.
It has a silicone-like feel to it. However, it is extremely low-cost and flimsy. It will be deformed depending on how they spool it. Do not use for any filtration that is critical.
You use the valves to restrict or throttle airflow down a line; you may not need any, or you can balance the amount of air feeding each feature if you have different sizes/types of air stones (or other air/bubble features).

The accessories drew me in, but the airline tubing was exactly what I needed. The tubing is flimsy and extremely thin. It was so bad that it sank to the spool and collapsed on itself. I wouldn't put my trust in them for anything important. I don't trust this stuff even to run simple air stones. I'm not sure what kind of material this is. Is it possible to use silicone? br>br>I see why other reviews say it's difficult to keep it in the suction cup clips. This tube simply collapses and is unable to maintain its inner and outer diameters. And the majority of it has been shattered by packaging and will not recover. br>br>I'd go somewhere else. The WOW Design items were my most recent purchase. That was exceptional performance. I'll most likely order it again in the black variant that I required this time. If I truly require the extras, I will pay a few dollars more to ensure that I receive high-quality airline tubing.
For aquarium pumps, this tubing is excellent. It's soft enough to hide beneath rocks and other ornaments. Some reviews were harsh because they were not using it for aquarium purposes. Soft tubing is best for aquariums because aquarium water causes it to harden slightly. In fact, pet stores charge more for soft tubing than they do for hard tubing. Because of the location of my tank, I ran it a good 10 feet from the pump, and it did not kink or reduce aeration in the least. So, if you're looking for a professional tubing, go with a soft airline like this one. Otherwise, go with the old-fashioned clear or blue tubing, which stands out and is difficult to conceal behind other decorations. It's up to you whether you want to present yourself as a professional or as a novice.
Even worse are the screw valves. When the valve is only slightly open, they leak air. They will produce bubbles if you unscrew them half a turn. Two of the four airstones were defective. Because the hose is of such poor quality, nearly everything leaks or the air supply is cut off. br>br>The only positives are the check valves, which appear to be in working order, and the suction cups, which are difficult to come by even though the clips are too wide to hold the air line. I filled the clips with root tabs, stuck them to the bottom of the tank, and covered them with substrate. br>br>I would have returned this order if I hadn't used the suction cups. 2/5 Stars.
(Please ignore the fact that my tank is currently in a bad state. . . ) Because some "shedding" from my plants would get sucked into the current and tumble into the planted plants, I got the idea to make a DIY floating plant corral from the internet. As you can see, it doesn't quite work for these floating plants, but it's still a big help. br>br>I believe it would be ideal for plants that are intentionally grown on the surface, such as duck weed or water lettuce. The black tubing and suction cups are far superior to the clear ones in terms of camouflaging the corral. This kit comes with everything you'll need to make it (and then some). The suction cups are mediocre, so I'm taking a star off the rating. I tried using the suction cups on polished granite to keep electrical cords from some smaller tanks in place, but they only lasted a couple of days. They're better in the water because they hold the tubing setup in place, but they do get knocked off when I'm cleaning the aquarium glass.
This kit includes everything I need to put four air stones in my hydro bucket. The provided stones are small 1" stones, which aren't what I needed, but the hosing is ideal for carrying air for the 2" stones I used in my build. It could also hold 4" stones.
To hide the tube in the black background of a glofish tank, this is perfect. Multiple connections can be made using a long length of tube. The tube is a little tight and difficult to connect to the check valves, but it does not leak. When passing the tube through the suction cup holders, it is a little loose. br>The control valves are basic, but they work well.
The tubing is too thin to be useful. Each connector has a small air leak. Even a slight opening causes the valves to leak. I'm not going to buy it again. Look for an air tubing kit somewhere else. This one should be avoided at all costs. Made for a low price.
Hose and accessories are of excellent quality. Although the hose is made of soft silicone, it did not kink or pinch when I used it. Everything you need is included at a great price. It also comes with regulators, despite the fact that they are not mentioned in the description.
