What size hose will fit on this part?

You'll need a 1" I for this. hose.

There is a reference to two pieces in the text. Is that two valves or just one valve with two o-rings? rings?

I'm in the same boat. two O rings, one valve

What is the purpose of the o rings? Is it only for use with the FX5? On my FX6, I don't see why I'd need them. ?

The o rings are attached to the top lid with snaps. This part is interchangeable between the Fx4, Fx5, and Fx6.

It's a good idea to keep a spare on hand at all times

I was disappointed that I had to replace this filter so soon after purchasing it; I own four FX6s. This filter has only been around for a year. That is to say, I used this shutoff valve about four times before it began to leak after the second use. br>The new one works perfectly, and I now have a backup.

There isn't a single valve and there are two o rings. Aside from that, the product is excellent.
