Questions & Answers

Is it possible to use this over an air tube with a bioorb sculpture?

The biOrb airstone is located at the bottom of the filter assembly's base. The filter and bubble tube are placed on top of the air stone. We hope you find this information useful. Please contact our customer service department at 888-888-888-888-888-888-888-888-888-888-888-888-888-888 755- Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., dial 5646. 5pm, EST. We hope you find this information useful. Jennifer, your biOrb Aquatic Specialist, sends her heartfelt greetings.

Is this something I simply place in the hole from which the bubbles emerge?

Hello. Inside the filter housing, the biOrb airstone is inserted into a hole. To get to the airstone, you'll have to take out the bubble tube and filter. We hope you find this information useful. Natalie, I'm your biOrb Expert.

Is this something that can be used with a standard undergravel filter attachment?

No, the hole for attaching it is larger than most air pump attachments.

What is the purpose of an air stone, and why would someone want to use one?

It helps circulate the water and gives the fish oxygen by adding air to it. In my BiOrb tank, I have one in the bottom of the filter pack, one that came with the tank, and I replace it as needed.

The whole bioorb thing is a letdown, and everything is way too expensive
3/5

These aren't meant to be kept for long periods of time. And I've discovered that for the price of bio orbs products, you should get the best, as these only lasted me about two weeks. I have two 8 gallon tanks and a 16 gallon tank, and I can't seem to get my 8 gallon tanks to clear. I even bought the green algae filters, but they don't work. I've tried every chemical known to man and purchased every trick bio product to try, but all I get is cloud. Next, new filters are needed because the bio orb filters aren't up to the task. They're messy enough with my goldfish, but for the price I paid, these should be adequate. Every other day, I have to change the water.

There is only ONE stone
3/5

I'm giving it three stars because the description is incorrect. The listing claims that it comes in a two-pack, but this is not the case. Only one air stone is included in the package. It's just a regular one, albeit one with a higher price tag due to the brand name. Next time, I'll probably see if a regular one fits, but for now, it'll suffice.

Having a hard time with bubbles? Buy this! Before buying this airstone, I read through a lot of reviews
5/5

I had read that any ordinary air stone would have sufficed, but I wanted to make sure. It was a breeze to put this on, and it didn't crack on mine. It just slid on without any effort on my part. I bought my tank used, so when I realized I was missing this after hearing the air bubbles for a few months, I decided to replace the filter. My bubbles have not been silenced, and I will be able to sleep better at night as a result of this. Anyone with a biorb tank should try it out! I've also included a couple of photos to assist other buyers!.

It's not really necessary; it just helps to break up the bubbles
5/5

Whether you have or don't have a filter, the air still filters. This piece isn't really required; it simply helps to break up the bubbles. If you don't have it, the air will still filter, but without the dispersed bubble appearance.

I wasn't sure it would work out, but it fits and works perfectly
5/5

I wasn't sure it would work because some of the comments said the stone split when they tried to put it on, but it does. Mine was fine because I was very careful with it. Maybe it was just a bad batch of airstones, but I think I could have been a little rougher and it would have worked out fine. br>br>My previous airstone lasted for about a year before becoming completely clogged. I should not have waited so long to replace it, and I will be doing so more frequently now. I'm not too bothered because the price is reasonable. I saw similar airstones in the store, but they all seemed a little thicker, and I didn't want to risk it. br>br>I have no complaints.

Take a look at how clean my tank is
5/5

Since purchasing my Biorb in February, I've only changed my Airstone and Filter once. The outcome is unmistakable. Take a look at how clean my tank now is. My Biorb is one of my favorite things. The tank takes a while to cycle (30 days), but the wait is well worth it.

Works ok
3/5

Works ok. When inserting over the filter stem, be careful not to split the Airstone. There isn't much of an air-conditioner. "stone". I had previously purchased others. br>Those in the sealed Bio Orb packaging worked best, while those not shipped in the official Bio Orb sealed package did not. For example, they will easily split and will not produce the small bubbling action that an Airstone should produce. Parts for Bio Orbs are generally quite expensive.

It's a good product, but it's a bit pricey
4/5

It's overpriced for how small and insignificant it is. The package should include at least two of these for the price. However, it performs as expected.
