It is not possible to see through the tubing. I chose this product because the tubing was supposed to be clear, regardless of how good the rest of it was. It isn't the case. It is in a semi-finished state. opaque. Look at the image. Is it possible for you to peer inside the tube? I don't think so. And, no, rinsing it or putting it in the tank does not make it clearer. br>br>I'd like to meet the person who thought this tubing was "clear," so I can replace all of their car windows with similarly "clear" glass. "br>br>I'm joking. br>br>No, I'm not returning the product; it's only $5. The rest of the contents of the package appear to be useful. That is why I am awarding it two stars. One for the tubing and one for the person who claimed it was clear.
I went to Amazon and was told that I needed to return the original for a refund because it was now installed with suction, which I had to purchase separately. It's not worth the trouble of trying to return it, but I recommend that you inspect the packaging when it arrives. There is a lack of quality control.
After only a few days, the air stones began to disintegrate, and there are now pieces of them scattered throughout my tank.
This was purchased to use as a bubble wall in a 20 gallon aquarium. It's a softer tubing, which is ideal, and it's far superior to the stiffer stuff. To make room for the bubbler, I had to close off one end with aquarium-safe silicone. It's all good.
As expected, it functions properly. Although the tubing has a distinct odor, it did not harm my fish.
It's simple to use and has made my fish tank more playful and enjoyable for my fish, who enjoy playing in the bubbles.
There is a strong chemical odor coming from the air line. I wouldn't use it in my aquarium in any way. The air stones in the other fittings are fine and do not have an odor.
I used it to split a cheap pump into three lines for my kratky method hydroponics, and it was a good price. It 100% works as it ought to work.
