Questions & Answers

How do I know if my fish will still be able to breathe if the carbon is removed from the filter?

It is correct that carbon does not provide oxygen, but rather it filters out ammonia and other contaminants.

Is it okay to leave the carbon filter out for an extended period?

Thank you so much Russell! Actually, it is advised to leave the carbon out until after the fish are 100% well and the treatment is all finished.

Can acrylic bowls be stained by this solution? The biorb (large round tank) I purchased is a very expensive fixture, and I am worried that adding this stuff there will ruin it. ?

For only a few days, it will change the color of the water. After that, it will return to its usual color. You need not worry about your acrylic tank getting stained. As well as me, I have one. I really like how this works.

Buying is not a good idea! I almost lost all my fish because of it The product is poisonous to fish! Make sure you do not get it! (I have two clownfish and one I bought this product for a blue tang that got ich, but I put only half of the dosage that the product suggested because I didn't want to overdose my fish
3/5

My fish started acting strange after about one hour. When I went to check them, I saw two clown fish lying near the top of their tank and they were almost dead because of lack of While my blue tang on the other hand was completely flat on the bottom of the tank and has no way of moving since she is also without enough oxygen. As soon as I realized that my fish tank was not keeping water, I began changing it. It was possible for me to gradually change almost half of my water, and I put back the carbon filter so the water could be cleaned by it. My water was ample, and I'm so glad I had it. Both my clown fishes began swimming again in a somewhat normal manner, and my blue tang was able to return to her normal position again, but she was still unable to swim because she is so physically weak. There are way too many fishes for this product to be effective on. I am sure there are fishes for this product, but it is not for all fishes. There is not enough information on the box instead it just says to drop one tablet every ten Luckily I took the time to realize I had poisoned my fish before I put in the rest of the order. I really care about your fish and I suggest you find another way to treat ich. My tank is almost midnight, and I'm still keeping an eye on them to make sure they are alive and breathing. I hope they will make it through the night, and by tomorrow the filter will have worked and the water will be fresh.

Getting rid of ick is the best
5/5

In my opinion, this is the best ick treatment you can buy. I have purchased other treatments and all they have done is make the water cloudy and can be hazardous to fish if overdosed. There are 10 tablets to treat a 10 gallon tank, but the tablets can always be cut into halves or fourths if you have a smaller tank that's easier to The silicone and other plastic pieces of the aquarium will turn blue, but I found that over time they will fade with the exception of my air tubes, which remain blue without having faded. I actually like the way it looks in my aquarium, so I'll keep it. It is possible that some people have complained about fish dying after treatment and blame the treatment for the cause. It is more likely that the fish had an ick break out that affected the gills and would have died with or without treatment, and that it was too late to add treatment.

This stuff is so cool and it works amazingly well
3/5

I put the tablets in my tank and it disintegrated in about 30 seconds The video is 60 seconds long and very satisfying to watch. In addition to turning my water blue, it looks amazing when lit by the LEDs. The blue water alone would make it worth the purchase even if it didn't treat the ick! A notice of the update is below I had two treatments, and all the ick on my fish had been removed. I will still perform a second treatment in case it is needed. Ick treatment that works very well! I only needed 2 days of treatment (1 treatment is 24 hours)! *The price of these products has nearly doubled since I last purchased them, hence I found a cheaper alternative, Kordon Rich. It is just as effective, but it only costs 9 dollars and treats 960 gallons of water as opposed to these only treating 80 gallons for 3 dollars each.

It has already been a noticeable improvement for my betta
5/5

I thought my Betta's illness would pass two weeks ago (this is my first time having a fish). It took me one week to diagnose him with ich but after confirming it, I realized he had it. Having done lots of research, I obtained these little tablets, dropped in just under 1/4 of one, and in only a few hours Fernando was swimming around. Moreover, I bought a water heater for This should be obtained as soon as possible if your fish has ich.

This treatment has been particularly effective for me
4/5

It has been a while since we got a goldfish. She is named Putting Barbara in the same tank with Goldie was the first time we noticed Barbara had fallen sick. We bought this to treat the entire In our case, we treated the tank for four days (we took out a quarter of the water According to what I discovered on the internet, add fresh water with meds mixed in. 3) Barbara's white spots disappeared completely the third A week after the water ran out, we drained the tank and scrubbed it thoroughly. A few weeks later Goldie caught an illness! As a consequence, we gave the same treatment to all of them. The usual Barbara was on the menu but Goldie was on a diet. Three days in a row, I ate less and stopped altogether. My plan was to keep the treatment going for a couple of However, Gold died on the fourth day of Our next step was to stop the treatment and completely change the water and wash the tanks. While the medication works, it's difficult to control doses in a small tank, especially since the water must be changed every day. *The instructions do not state how long the treatment should last. Some say one day, some say five days and others say until the ick is gone. You need to pay close attention to your goldfish and stop the treatment as soon as you notice trouble Now is not the time to.

It did what it said it would do
5/5

Excellent medicine. The pet store sold me the fish. Goldfish with a black tip and a fan tail were one of the two. He was the first thing I bought. A small discoloration was visible on one side of him. The thought didn't seem to matter much to me. Then he developed white little balls of hair growing on him a few weeks later. One of them got it, and another got it as well. It took several weeks after using the ick medicine for me to get better. The sickness of the two of them was not apparent to the naked eye. It still seems to be in very good health.

I was able to kill all my fish a few nights ago
3/5

This product should not be bought or used. When your fish get sick, you'll have to do the hard work if you want to save them. It is a chemical that is extremely toxic. If you get your fish in a separate tank, raise the temperature, feed and rest them, use the slime protection for your Betta and other fish, that should help ick to drop in a couple days, once the fish are clear, move them to a tank without

I was poisoned by this icky medication overnight, which killed all of my fish, including my Betta, Guppies, and Octopus. In fact I used half the dose to be on the safe side. Betta also just started getting ick, so I tried this as a last resort. I found out the problem when Betta had only 3 spots and scratched his body here and there occasionally as he was getting more. It's a good way to kill your fish, but if you don't want to kill your fish,.
