The size of it is going to be much bigger than It has a capacity of five gallons. A 10 gallon aquarium is where I keep the fish There is obviously room on the bottom and sides (and on half of the 10 gallon) but depending on how many other fish are in the four there could be more or less space. You are compromising their safety if you use a 5 gallon container. Here is what I hope will help
I eventually went with a plastic breeder box instead of the mesh product because it was not very user-friendly, and the mesh did not hold up.
If you place the mother in there before she gives birth, you can remove her from the cage once the babies have been Fish from getting in will be kept out when the net is in place.
Currently, it is 5" wide and 7 1/2" deep - my best efforts were to make it 7 1/2" wide and 5 1/2" deep. Here's hoping you find this useful

The price may seem low to some, but it works well. Making it so simple to put together and putting Penn Plax's baby hideout breeding grass in it allows the baby to hide once he or she is born and to lose the worry of being discovered by others. It is possible to give birth in a free environment. By allowing water to pass through the mesh, it allows The biofilm builds up very little in the aquarium due to the flow of water inside The material can accumulate inside it, as it occurs when enclosed breeders are made from clear plastic. I have successfully reared all of my babies using this method since my mesh allows for water to pass through it in the tank (unlike the plastic ones, so no bubbler is needed here) simply place the tank away from strong flow/current. All babies are healthy and have survived this method.
The introduction of 10 high grade red cherry shrimp into a tank with black skirted tetras was not a good idea. A single by one, they all got picked off. My remaining 5 shrimp ended up in a net I ordered for my future tank so I placed them in it. I was about to ruin my life, but I was saved. This will work as a temporary fix until I can buy a separate tank and get it What about the quality of the material? Are you sure it's not In short, yes. Unfortunately, it also cost a little over seven The pieces are easy to assemble and come in six A side is constructed of 4 rods and a rectangular frame is constructed of Once you snap together these frames, the net (which is a fine mesh bag with a drawstring) is wrapped around the frame, held in place by the drawstring, and tied A space is left between the frame and the bag thanks to this design. A small creature can get smashed or stuck, as mentioned in previous posts. A upper frame is made up of two aluminium rods that can be bent into hooks to hang on an As for shrimp breeding, the mesh is very fine and should be used for breeding them. The net is at the top of the frame about an inch or so from the main frame. There is no lid, so it must sit above the water line. The device is a great buy for me, but it might not be suitable for every purpose.
I bought this so I would be prepared just in case I had fry. Fortunately, it looks like luck has been on our side. The saltwater Mollys were fed before I left for work in the morning. After I returned to my house the same evening, I had 50 Molly Fries in the tank. IMMEDIATELY, I put this breeder to work! It was my duty to give them to my local Petco stores (I spread them around to 3 in my area) as rescue fish to reach a happy family or family members. The sooner you have this on hand, the better your chances are of having it on hand one day if you wonder if you might have baby fry. If you don't, you might be providing a tasty meal for the other fish! My point is just this
JUST SAYING.
It didn't seem to work for me this time around as none of my clownfish babies survived One way or another, they all died getting tangled between the net and the frame, or perhaps repeatedly swimming into the mesh cage. Their fragile state makes the net system completely unnecessary for this purpose, though maybe if they were older it would make some sense. My other problem is that the current in my tank is too strong and may be causing the small fish to go into my Reading up on infant care made me think of the following My initial theory was much simpler than it turned out to be. These guys take a lot of pride in their work! If you are considering buying this breeder, do more research first. In addition, I noticed that every positive review mentioned how happy people were with the product, but none of the reviews mentioned whether the babies were harmed by In fact, we found a dead mature Angelfish caught in that breeding net the day after we'd set it up in the tank. Is that a coincidence? The situation is unclear. My thoughts on adding this or any other net breeder to my tank would be at least twice as strong. After I threw it away, I never saw it again.
One issue I didn't like was that it was hard to see through the mesh, so it was difficult to see clearly unless you looked at it Despite the frame's apparent stability, it was not particularly As a result of one of the hangings There were a lot of things on metal that However, I was worried that the mother was going to eat her fries. It would have been nice if the fry were to be able to swim down into something. Worst of all, the netting was dyed by tannins in my water (the orange brown color that comes from having wood in the tank), as well as becoming stained with algae. When you want to clean it, you have to do so by getting a tiny fish net, capturing the fish again, finding something else to hold them in, then cleaning it and reintroducing it. Putting the fish under more stress than they are already under. After about a week, I had to get rid of it! Now that the return deadline has passed, I cannot return my goods. It is not worth the money!.
As my angelfish fry grow from wrigglers to about dime in size, I hang this in the tank and feed them this every day. There is very little need for fish to escape these holes because they are so perfectly sized. Feeding the fry and the tank at the same time is what I do with brine shrimp that pass through the mesh. Furthermore, all waste passes through the box and into the main tank without accumulating in the box. In addition to live bearing fry, it would also work well.
There is a way to do it. There are only a few components in the construction With two plastic rectangles connected by four plastic sticks and a net stretched over the top, two plastic rectangles. There is no guarantee that the construction will be durable, and I expect something to fail after several rounds of assembly and disassembly. As you bend the metal plates around the edge of the tank, you form the "hooks" which attach the net to the There are several problems with it, including that it's unsightly, weak, easily broken, and unable to be replaced. There is no evenly distributed holding of the net In general, the front edge of the robe hangs 1/2" lower than its back edge. It needs to be below the water line to ensure the front of the net is above it. So, I have to lower the water in the tank to ensure the front of the net is above it. It will need to be replaced because it will be used for a prolonged period, especially if it goes in.
It's a load of s*** I can't believe I spent my hard earned money on it. This is such a waste of money, 2 dollars cannot even be compared to the price I wish it had a 0 star for bad quality and awful design. The pieces are separate, and the mesh keeps coming off, and my fish are about to give birth any minute now, and this looks like a danger for my fry. I wouldn't put fry inside this. I am sure they would be either suffocated by the mesh or eaten by it if it fell out.
