Questions & Answers

In what dimensions does the box measure?

The size of the box is 5"L by 5"H by 3". Five inches wide. A 5 inch width is obtained if you include the part that hangs on to the tank. Leaving the overflow channel open for nothing more than a few inches will lead to the water spilling back into the tank.

The fry could be washed into the main tank with the returning water, but what can you do to keep it from happening?

It is imperative that a piece of sponge is placed on the intake pipe and in front of the grate of the water return in order to ensure

The box has an air pump attached, so will it work with this air pump?

A tube is required to push water into the container, I have one. In the following steps, the water falls back into the tank over a spillway. I found it to be quite useful. Buying the product again would be a good decision.

Is there a difference in size between Platy and ?

My size is a medium and I recommend the large or the medium.

It is good for the purpose for which it was designed
4/5

The medium is a reasonable size, but it's really made for holding the babies until they are a little bigger, and it's a little bit noisy but nothing too troubling. The drip works well for its purpose while looking like an ordinary drip.

The best hangout of the year- Boxes to the rescue! These are amazing! I love them! They are used for transportation and then drip irrigation Breeders need to be acclimated to a new tank
5/5

They give birth in them (I learned I need to add a bit of artificial plants to the box above the separator to make them feel secure enough to give birth, even though the slit in the trough is usually enough for them to give birth). The fry are then fed for a few weeks in the box, then decided to be moved when they are ready for growth. The boxes are used to acclimate the fish out of the tanks. This is, overall, a great set. The price of the dozen I bought recently tripled, and I wish I could get a dozen more. The company is on my watch list!

If you are disturbed by the gurgling and bubbling noise, simply install a flow-through hose to reduce the noise Imagine a valve (think one-way Valve with 90-way gang, 90-volt A bend in the road or a turn in the road The style of shut-off ) in the air line and turn it down so the gurgles are gone but still some water flows in. When you blow a few bubbles, you'll be surprised at how much water is produced! Touching the outflow with my finger will show me the amount of water that is It is how I bought Amazon's three months ago, if you're against them, I would buy from you for what I paid! It's funny. Haha. That's just a joke! I'm kidding, I'm really If I do so I will probably be in violation of my Amazon account, and I don't want to lose my Prime membership and my reviews. This is the first time I've posted! This is a)

It is too short for the tiniest fry
3/5

When I fought with two other breeder boxes, I decided to get one that wouldn't go all the way into the main tank with my False Julii Cory. In the tank, the smallest "grate" for the overflow is big enough that the fry could swim through it and into the tank to be eaten by the fish. In order to keep my corys safe from being attacked by other fish, I have modified the overflow piece by gluing mesh over it. Additionally, it is important to be careful with the flow of water, since if it's too strong, the tank may fill up sufficiently that fry will swim out of If the airflow is decreased, the overall water level decreases, so this problem is fixed. It is also necessary to maintain an even level of the unit. In order for it to overflow onto the ground, you must have the flow too high and the unit leaning to the left (away from the tank) while doing so. It is advisable to be careful if you have cory fry or other super small frys.

Fishes of a larger size will enjoy it
3/5

A 5 would be deserved if it did not say it was intended for small children. My tray was missing a small piece of plastic with a slot inside, which keeps the fish from going out the outlet. The fishnet was used to cover a piece of plastic that I cut to fit with holes in it and covered with a fishnet. It is impossible for baby guppies to pass In the more spacious tank the following morning, there are several of them swimming. Their food was eaten before they could be retrieved. Their discharge would not have allowed them to survive. There must have been a route where the intake tube is located. This tank would be ideal for larger fish so that they can be separated. The babies would not be at risk, but I would not risk it. There have been reports of gurgling noises generated by the machine when it is in use as well. The same thing happened to me. It went away as soon as I turned down the air flow. There isn't supposed to be a lot of water that pours through, just a small amount at a time so that it doesn't have to be turned up all the time. The tank water is cycled so that the temperature and all of the other conditions are consistent, and there's no need to have a breeder box floating around or on the side of the tank. If you want to keep the small fry out of the tank, please avoid putting them at risk. The only thing that would keep it from being 5 stars is that issue.

The device requires additional tubing that is Please visit https//www

usa. gov/ It has been working great for me so far. Although I am not sure what I would do with my fry before releasing them into the main tank, the flowing water and safety grate are perfect. (Edit in)
I am not sure it's supposed to pulse like this, but it does. This video shows how to do it. It was obvious that an air pump would be needed (edit done)
I knew that it would need one. However, there is no reason why an extended air tube couldn't be supplied with it instead of having the consumer make sure that it is supplied. Are you trying to make your customer service better? Then don't make me go to the store to purchase an extra length of air tubing so your product works correctly.

There was a fish escape in my aquarium
3/5

The purpose of this purchase was to try out breeder boxes again. It was always a distaste to me when I was pregnant and I never delivered any babies with it. During the time they spent on it, they were stressed out. A bigger, better one would be of better quality, so I decided to give it a try again. There was no problem with the size and the quality of the box. It still didn't sit well with my platy. The very next take she made was jumping back into the main tank. All of a sudden, the lid fell off. After a few minutes I noticed that the fish had returned to the main tank and that my cat must have gotten up there. It might have been fun to put something on the lid, but I can tell my fish doesn't As a result, I believe hiding spots (such as a java moss ball) for the babies are better than trying to keep them in one of these boxes as pregnant fish. It's either that, or a breeder tank dedicated to them.

I like the design! The loudest noise was in the centre of the room
4/5

Please visit https//www. usa. gov/ I have updated It contained a lot of babies. This project has been a huge success! With the help of these 2 boxes, I have grown over 200 baby guppies. I'm very happy with the I ordered 2 medium sized. Both were easy to assemble. They now have a female in each one. A bunch of babies are waiting for me or I hope to wake up soon. other reviewers have stated, the design on these little tanks is rather noisy, but it performs quite well with aeration. The only reason I knocked a star off is because it is now the loudest thing in the room although there are fixes, which are not as effective as aeration and circulation. There is a 2x roar of noise when this is running in the same room as a window AC unit. They have a nice design, though I might have to move them to another storage room in which I have other tanks.
