I'm not sure why there are so many extras. I'm new to this and was hoping for some simple instructions so that I wouldn't have to figure it out on my own. That is one of the reasons I purchase certain items. To make life easier, but a lot of things come with extremely confusing instructions. I'm speaking for myself, but perhaps others can as well. I'm not snubbing this product any more than I am snubbing a lot of other products.
I attempted three times but was unsuccessful in hatching anything. I had water all over the place the first time I filled it up because the clip didn't hold the air tube shut and the adapter wouldn't screw in all the way.
Pay attention to the directions. It was simple to follow the instructions. Everything was exactly as described, and the extra accessories for freezing the extra brine shrimp were a pleasant surprise! Regular bulbs will not be powerful enough to fully attract the shrimps to the bottom, so I recommend investing in an LED light.
It did exactly what it said it would, and I bought one for my grandson as well.
The adapter's connections make collecting the brine shrimp a breeze. The adapter makes mounting it on top of the aquarium for easy access a breeze.
I also believe that the black packet premium eggs' 90 hatch rate was a part of the problem.
