Questions & Answers
My son's box turtle does just fine with a mixture of organic sphagnum peat moss and Repti Bark he gets on Amazon. I was told whatever substrate you use, it should be free of chemicals (like most soils do since they are Please accept my sincere thanks for your help!
If it floated, it would be fine. A freshwater turtle would probably be better off with better bedding.
A substrate that is deep enough is dependent on how deep you need it The substrate for a tank of 10 gallons can be placed inside a 24 quart bag that's 5 inches deep. If you want, you can split the depth in half and use twice as much.
The weight should be less than 4 pounds.

They are extremely hard to get rid of and I had to keep them in a cage for a long time. The mulch I used in my tank was even boiled before I put it in, and I still have mites on it. I'm not sure how they managed to survive the boiling process. However, this is a very stressful situation. The only type of mulch I will be purchasing in the future is plastic mulch and I will not use this for my iguana. During the summer I will probably not use it for fertilizing my plants. As a rule of thumb, I recommend staying away from any type of mulch in your reptile enclosure and if you need some kind of bedding, I recommend My photos of Tiny Mites would be better, but they are the size of a speck of dust and are very difficult to photograph.
It's 50% cheaper than what you'd normally pay for the same item. If I were to rate a review, I would give it five stars. For my Russian tortoise, I use this item and it looks and works great. Moreover, the price is at least half what the pet stores are asking for. My last order was packed with random objects, and I found those in the bag as well! They included a metal piece that was hard and sharp. Safety is important! Be sure to check it out! I still think this is a great product.
The one I had had a metal chunk in it. My tortoise would have eaten it if he had eaten this! The product needs to be recalled!.
There was nothing wrong with them, and I couldn't figure out why they kept getting angry all the time. As I attempted to handle them, they would immediately bite, so I happened to look in the water and drank! The water was full of tiny black bugs! Seriously?!? Eventually, I treated all of my snakes and the rest of the bag of Reptibark with JurassiMite, and they are all doing great now.
Suddenly they have splinters all over their bodies, and humidity control is not my most important concern. This is terrible! The number of splinters I got from simply putting the stuff inside their tanks should have given me a clue. Don't do it! If you can find them, coconuts or walnuts would be great. The fine wood chips are also great. It is dangerous for your pet to ingest this.
When I first saw Reptibark, I balked, but I found that this product is washable, reusable, and you can put it in your yard when you want I don't change it very often because it lasts for so long. The best part of this product is that it smells good. Reptibark makes my ball python the easiest pet to care for in the house! There is a dog, a cat, and mice in our home. At least two adults and two children can fit in the bag The cages for a 40 gallon aquarium need to be changed three times. The hive has a layer of peat moss on top, and Rocky has a large plastic hive. Rodents are accustomed to living in dens in which they live, and this mimics that behavior. As the Reptibark replicates the feel and smell of the forest floor very effectively, it is a great product. Originally from central Africa, ball pythons live in the tropics. The misting of the tank has no problem either. There are no molds, mildews, or fungi in Reptibark. Ball pythons are happiest when there is at least 60% humidity in the air We need to pay attention to this. As far as I am concerned, other types of substrate won't be as effective.
My first thought was mites, I got rid of them and had no idea how they got there. Today, I discovered that my snake has an abundance of mites on it because he didn't eat his rat last night! After conducting some research, I looked at my bag and I saw a few there. The least I can say is that I'm not very happy!.
This is not even something I use for a pet I use it for planting my blueberry bushes. Despite that, I have managed to convince my roommate to buy it for her snake. Our goal is to line the cage so splinters will no longer get into it, and we will update this review once we finish lining This material looks very smooth and does not appear to stick to the prey as it is eating or to splinter at all. I am currently using this product to cover a trench filled with repti bark that I have created for my blueberries to be planted. It works very well. There is enough water to last for days in this container. As well as orchids, it works well.
